Looking at all these interesting countdown threads, I decided it would be fun to make my own, so I decided to
make a list of my favorite reality TV modeling contestants, which takes girls from all the different modeling-theme shows I have seen before, which include
America's, Australia's, Britain's, Canada's, Germany's, and Holland's Next Top Models, as well as Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model
Search and Make Me a Supermodel (US Version). Factors for likeability include true-modeling potential, personality, entertainment value, accomplishments since
the show, and any arbitrary reason I thought up, although the extent to which each factor hold importance in the evaluation varies from person to person (the
only contestant that I really feel is strong in all categories is #1). I only chose fifteen because really anything longer would be rather boring and I
don't think you can truly have that many favorite contestants. Hopefully the list will be as exciting to read as it was to make!
The first three:
15. Alicia Hall (Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search)
Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search was the first modeling-type show I had ever seen, which makes Alicia Hall my first favorite model contestant. I vaguely remember having seen her before on Star Search as a model contestant and rooting for her, but by the time Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search, I had forgotten and so I just figured she looked like someone I knew. Alicia had the Cinderella story: she was the girl who had faced adversity in her life, who had gone from an ugly duckling to the winner of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Model Search. One reason why I liked Alicia (other than I am a sucker for a good sob story) is that she seemed to be the only one who wasn't excessively trashy looking. She also seemed to truly appreciate the opportunity and experience she had been given. After Model Search, Alicia was signed with numerous agencies in Miami, Paris, and Australia and has received a fair amount of work, including becoming a model for Sketchers.
14. Christina Murphy (America's Next Top Model, Cycle 4)
Christina is one of the most underrated contestants coming out of the crapfest that was Cycle 4. She had a very sharp, bird-like look to her that I liked and throughout the competition, she took consistently good photographs. She was constantly criticized for seeming cold and emotionless by the panel, and her photos were never excessively praised by the judges, despite a few of them being considerably the best of the week (including the Seven Deadly Sins photoshoot, where she was eclipsed by rat-girl Kahlen, whose photo was mediocre). In the end, the judges played up her "icy" demeanor and she was eliminated despite having the second best photo of the week behind Brittany (who was also in the bottom two that week). Since the show, Christina was signed with LA Models and has supposedly done some modeling stuff, but nothing that I really know of.
13. Lisa Jackson (America's Next Top Model, Cycle 9)
My favorite of Cycle 9, Lisa was the bikini-stripper with a heart of gold, who rocked almost every single shoot she participating in despite her atrocious makeover, even the CoverGirl picture she got eliminated with (although she had a not so good commercial, her CoverGirl picture blew the rest out of the water). Her good photos, however, led to many haters, including Bianca and the fattie Sarah, who couldn't handle her fierceness. At the Final 6, she was eliminated for letting the constant criticism get to her (
), although she is the one with the last laugh as she has been signed with Major Model
Management and has done one or two minor shows already.

). Although one would probably not consider her the most entertaining or exciting
model on her season, she was sweet and likeable and ultimately deserved to win. Since the show, Barbara has signed with IMG and has gotten a fair amount of
modeling work, including a contract with Pantene.
