But I can't WAIT until 5. If it is anywhere near as good as 4, it will be a must have game. But I'll probably have to buy a next gen system to play it.

I've never heard of Umbrella Chronicles.

Super Mario Bros 3 (NES)
Super Mario Bros 3 is the last NES game to make the list, and also the last Mario game to make the list! After the wierdness that was Super Mario Bros 2 (although you know from my review that I LOVE that game), Nintendo finally returned the Super Mario Bros series to it's roots. Mario 3 is a 2D sidescrolling platformer that plays more like the first game in the series. Goombas, koops troopers, fire flowers, stars, coins, question mark blocks, and Bowser! The game starts on an overhead map that acts as a central hub where you can select which level you want to visit next. Mostly in the game, you go along one linear path, but there are parts where you can branch off, play through unnecesary levels, play mini games, and collect extra items and secrets. The mini games in Mario 3 are a card flipping memory match game, and a shuffling card game where you must line up three pieces to make one complete piece. These games earn you bonus items and extra lives. Each world has a castle at the end of it, where a king has been turned into some kind of animal. You must climb up to several different airships that are operated by Bowser's sons, and defeat them. The king is restored, and you move on to the next level. This game just shines in so many areas. The whole game is like a journey, and there is so much to see and do along the way. The levels are huge and creative. Each level has many secrets, and each time I play this game it seems like I discover something I didn't know about before. Some of the worlds are legendary, like the Giant/Small world, the one where you go up into the sky, and the pipe world. The game is fast paced and fun, while also being challenging and deep at the same time. Warpers suck! :P This title is also legendary for many of the new suits introduced into the game, like the Raccoon Suit, Frog Suit, Tanuki Suit, and Hammer Bros Suit, which is very rare and I always lose right away. The one level that features the green boot you can ride around in is epic. Overall, this is a classic game and very worthy of the #5 spot on my list. It is the greatest NES game of all time, and also the best and deepest Mario game to date IMO. It is a game that I can pick up today and play for hours until I beat it. There are so many great moments and classic levels in this game. It brings me back to being a kid whenever I play it. All hail Mario 3! |

I am always so frugal with specialized suits because they are almost jinx
Still, Hammer Suit is easily the boss killer! |

Mario 3 was amazing. But Mario World on SNES was the best. Did it already appear here?

=O At least a Top 4 finish for Final Fantasy 7 <33333
Why they haven't brought NES back is beyond me, it's better than most of the shit out there. |

Great game, but that is only on the computer game. However, there is a bonus round in "Zombie Ate the Neighborhood" that allow you to fight those
vile creatures.

Whoa, I thought Super Mario Bros. 3 was a sure win. It is by far my favorite video game ever.

kid played a factor into me not liking it much as the NES games. I could only play Mario World at friends' houses, whereas I played the NES Marios
religiously at my own household.

OMG stunner!
#4. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic
I mentioned this game in passing earlier in the thread, and noticed that not many people had played it. I think Multi Geminii and Will Hatch 2.0 were the only ones who had tried it. You fuckers need to check this out! This game is one of the greatest, most exciting, and deepest RPGs of all time! This game takes place thousands of years before the movies. There are two dominant forces in the galaxy: the Jedi and the Sith, who are both at war with each other. Playing as a soldier on a Jedi freighter, you are thrust into battle. The ship is attacked and taken over by the Sith. Jettisioning via the escape pod, you and a few others crash land on a heavily populated Sith planet. Taking over the game, you must investiagate the events of the attack, find Bastila (a Jedi healer with the power of Battle Meditation) who also crashlanded on the planet, and find your way off the world, which is under strict Sith supervision. This game uses a battle system similar to FFXII (but this came out first) where the action is not turn based, but played out live. You start out with zero Jedi ability, but over the course of the game, you discover your hidden abilities. This game gives you the choice of whether you would like to be good or bad. Bad is always the way to go with me! The decisions you make over the course of the game (whether to help out the old man being robbed, or kill everyone and take all the money for yourself) effect whether or not you will turn out as a good or bad Jedi. Depending on which path you take, you earn special atributes for your character. Certain attacks you can only do if you are bad, others only if you are good. The storyline is also effected by the course you take, and in a major way. But I won't spoil anything here. :) You start out on the planet you crashed on, but once you accomplish your mission and escape from there, the game opens up several planets for you to visit. Each one has different missions and objectives necessary to complete the game. A few of the planets you visit include Dantooine, Tatooine, and Kashyyk. There is so much to do in this game, you can waste a lot of time doing the sidequests rather than the main mission. You can collect bounties on people, participate in fighting tournaments, run errands, race pods, gamble, and much much more. Again, I am not going to spoil anything, but the storyline is brilliant. You definitely do not need to be a fan of the movies to get into this. It has one major jaw dropping twist that is guaranteed to shock you if you don't know it's coming. This game is very deep, a lot more so than I expected for a Star Wars game. Overall, this is a brilliant game, and one that I am a huge fan of (as you can tell by the high ranking). If you have never played it, you need to get an XBOX just for this game. It's that good. Also, due to the way the game splits depending on if you choose the light or dark path, this is almost like 2 games in one. You can't go wrong with this title. Or it's sequel. |

Always wanted to play Knights of the Old Republic, how much is an xbox going for, or can I get it for the computer?

I believe it is available for PC as well.
As far as I know, XBOXs shouldn't be going for more than a hundred bucks or so now. But that's just a guess. |

Is this one better, or the sequel? I should pick it up, its by the company that did Mass Effect which is such an fing good game. An orgy of Halo and Final
Fantasy, which turns out to be the best game everrr.
But yeah this looks cool. And its prob like 10 bucks now. I forget if 360s are backwards compatible though. |
