Apparently the Backstreet Boys will be appearing on the show on March 20th and 27th, which are the final episodes of the season. I ran across these posts on
another board (keep in mind that it's from a BSB fan's perspective, so ignore the fantardiness):
THey were in New York for a charity dinner in Nov/Dec-and sang and met the people at the dinner. It was VERY hush-hush, some fans did go to it but haven't been able to give any info because of "what it was".
I was there that night....this is where I took this picture (and my quote below with Nick 11/8/07). Met all of them backstage...it was an unbelievable event. I couldnt say anything because I signed a release form and a friend of mine is the camera man for Trump and he let me and my husband come to the event.
It was a charity auction that is part of the show and the boys were the entertainment.
They sang many songs but cant remember how many. They were filmed the whole time but I dont know how much of it will actually air. I may be on tv as well. i was standing front and center next to the stage. And I was the only person in the room wearing white.
When my friend asked us to go I had no idea what to expect. I thought I was just going to be sitting in the audience.
But it was at a private ball room in NYC. The entire street was blockef off by NYC police. I walked up the red carpet and everything!
Inside was all the celebrities that are competing of the show. They did an auction first and then the boys came on.
Before they went on my friend asked me if i wanted to go back to the green room and meet them.....I looked at him and said, "Are you kidding?" he told me they were just hanging out waiting to go on...
So there we go and stroll back tot he green room and the boys are just hanging out chatting on their cell phones. My friend says to the bodyguard, "Hey, make sure she meets all of them ok?"
I almost passed out...i actually had to ask the body guard for a bottle of water becuase I didnt think I was going to make it without passing out..
So one by one i met them and they were fantastic. Very friendly and they each signed my program as well. Best part is that it wasnt a bsb event to there was no official meet and greet. It was just me and my husband hanging out with them.
After that I just went downstairs and watched them perform. But they were cute because they clearly recognized me from the meeting backstage and they each waved to me during the show.
During the show they were very professional. No sillyness...probably because it was a Trump event and they were being filmed. I think they sang most of the songs they sang in Hartford. But it was better then Hartford becaue they had a full band and backround lighting....
Best show I have ever been too...there were only a handful of us next to the stage. Hardly any bsb fans...most of the people in the room were very rich and they were just socializing in the back.
At one point i was standing next to Donald Trumps duaghter and her girlfriends....she was just acting like a normal girl hanging with her friends...
Oh and during the actual auction my husband and I are standing directly behind Trump and his daughter....
Then one of hte Baldwins was standing next to me...he said "Hi, hows it going"....Very funny being in a situation like that. His body guard came up to him and said that his wife was having problems parking hte car...
Hubby and I had the time of our lives that night! Cant wiat to see it on tv!

I wonder if part of the apprentices' "challenge" was arranging the event. Maybe we'll get to see the contestants talking with them as they go over the details.
I spoke with 2 girls backstage that were working on the show. They told me they were huge BSB fans for years and they talked the show into having them as the musical guest for the event. I dont think the boys had anything to do with the show...but I could be wrong.
I think they were just hired to sing.
They did auction off "A day with the backstreeet boys". Bidding started at $5,000 but I dont know what it finally sold for.
