Posts: 1626 (02/21/08 11:26 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The writers have already said point blank that just because the Losties think they've been on the island for 3 or 4 months doesn't mean they've actually been there for that short of a period. So the whole argument of Kate having time to have a baby is a moot point. Apparently from the real world standpoint, she could have, but I don't think for one second that it's Sawyer's baby. It's Claire's Aaron and she did something to manipulate the situation for her own advantage. Look at what Kate has done at every turn: she has always put herself first because she's just been reacting for too long to save her own skin. There's some deep seated fear Kate has that I don't think we've been told yet. Her history shows us that she had a squirrely streak even before she offed her step-dad. Remember the comments her boyfriend Tom said to her back in her teenage flashbacks? The toy airplane is still a big clue that could still come into play to really explain her. However, I'm like Anti. I'm just not sure I've ever cared about her backstory all that much.

Nice way of bringing Claire's "don't let the baby be raised by 'another'" bit full circle (I think). I don't read spoilers, but I knew something was up when I saw that big ol' kid lying in the bed. The actor playing Kate's lawyer is the guy who plays Bill Paxton's brother on BIG LOVE. Nice to see him as something other than a gutless wonder. I thought the significance of "3.2 million" was just another play on the numbers (32 = 16 x 2). I thought that whole bit (why is it 3.2? Not 3.3 etc) was just another in-joke for the fans.

Yeah my wife said "there must be something up with this, I bet her kid is black" I found this episode to be pretty boring, worst one of the new season by far. Why was it called Eggtown? Other then two eggs at the beginning that was it. Also aren't there enough houses in Otherville that they shouldn't need roommates?

My theory is that he was somehow resposible for Clares death. He has such a need to fix everything, what if he couldn't fix Clare? I don't think he would actually kill Clare, but what if persuded her to do something that lead to her death. He could be feeling incredible guilt knowing that Clare is his half-sister. What if Clare somehow fell out of the helicopter, leaving Aaron behind (which would fullfill Desmond's prophecy) and Jack makes the decision not to go back and try and save her in order to save the others. Just my thoughts.

Maybe, maybe not. Eggtown was a phrase used by travelling salesmen to indicate a poor town. In a barter situation maybe they could only get an egg in trade for something which was not such a great deal, particularly because eggs don't stay fresh very long. If you remember Locke sniffed the eggs after he cracked them open and may have tried to bribe or pay Ben with the egg meal for information. As it were Locke is a resident of the poor town and Ben is the travelling salesman with a valuable product.
