This is also the story about how Michael Lee and his new band The Rising took what many people thought to be, Film's record deal and 2 of Film's songs and told everyone he wrote them. He even changed the name of the most well known song Q to *So Alive* possibly to try and keep from paying Film the royalties it deserved. Michael Lee even claims on The Rising's website that '*So Alive' is a very personal song... "a moving confession about the struggle to maintain faith in the face of adversity that is nothing short of inspirational"* ... such a shame that it was actually written by Film guitarist Michael Sickeler before Mike Lee ever joined the band! Other good stuff. And yes thats him

It's funny that the two most pimped pre-show favorites (Carly and Michael) have the most controversy associated with them. Is it safe to root for anyone this season? I'm almost starting to get nostalgic for last season. Maybe I'll just root for Luke Menard. Go Luke!

He was able to record their songs and give them no credit and there wasn't any kind of lawsuit filed?

Michael's not my #1 favourite anyway, I just very much enjoy looking at him and it's very obvious all the people who don't get his appeal are attracted to woman and not men but the story posted about him and his former band doesn't seem to add up and I'd actually like to hear Michael's side of the story some time. Obviously AI won't be putting this information on the show and I'm sure the plant haters this season will bitch and moan about that but sometime when he's off AI I'd like to hear his story. It just seems odd-other people have noted this as well-that he would be able to just take their songs, record them and get away with it. I'm pretty sure you can sue people over issues like this, and if they have proof that this other guy wrote the song and the band recorded it before Michael even joined their band that would be solid proof so why wouldn't they sue him? It just seems like they're leaving out information. I mean if he did steal their songs that's totally wrong and I wouldn't root for him anymore, but the story just seems to have holes it.
