I've resigned myself to the fact that Carly probably won't win but I do think it's way to earlier to call the winner, or even the Top 3. So much
can happen between now and the Top 3 that even an obvious Top 3 now might not pan out.

Not surprisingly. Michael wasn't particularly pimped all that much this week, had he not gotten the pimp spot there'd probably be an even bigger gap.
Archuleta's their golden boy, for reasons I don't see, in terms of potential as a recording artist. Well, one that doesn't appeal to Disney/Hannah
Montana fans, anyway.

I hope this goes season 6's path. No one would've thunk Jordin/Blake would be the F2, for weeks it was Melinda/Lakisha.
I wouldn't count Carly out yet, I think she has a shot to get back into Simon's (and thus, the viewers  ) good graces.

Even if she does, she'd get obliterated in the final 2. All of Archuleta's votes would go to Michael Johns. And all of Michael's votes would go
to Archuleta. Even with David and Michael currently splitting the fangirl/frau vote, both of them are miles ahead of the others in terms of popularity. Can
you imagine if one of them had the entire fangirl contingent to themselves in the finale?
At best Carly is playing for 2nd place. But it's a moot point, because Ramiele is going to trounce her anyway. And I'm not even sure Carly can outlast Asia'h, to be quite honest.

I'm not sure about Michael/Archuleta's votes being swapped assuming one of them gets the boot. They're in different genres, for one.
It's still far too early; going on just performances at this point, contestants like Paris and Lisa were the frontrunners, and we know how that turned out. But of course, this is just my bias against Michael/Archuleta speaking. |

Neither of the Cooks should be in the top 12. David Cook is an absolutely dreadful vocalist, and he needs to lose weight. Kristy Lee Cook gave the worst
performance out of the girls, and certainly was only saved by her looks.

I really want them to stop bringing up Asia'h's father, it has to be the main reason people are voting for her. Her singing sounds fucking retarded and
she skips half the letters in her words. Her sob story is keeping her in.
As for Ramiele I'm confused as to why she's suddenly become so popular. She's a good singer but she was far from being phenomenal this week (as were the rest of the Top 24). Is it just because she's short and cute and seems to have a nice personality? Is it the Asian block vote? She's definitely good I won't deny that, but #1 for seriously? Can anyone see her winning and being a big seller? What kind of music would she even put out? |

I really think Brooke's the most marketable among this batch. Today's top 10 Billboard hits are usually 8 rap songs and 2 white girls singing
mellow/feel-good songs (Natasha Bedingfield, Colbie Callait, Taylor Swift, etc.). It's too bad they're not pimping her.

I would totally be pimping out Brooke if I were TPTB. With the popularity of type of girls you mentioned, Colbie in particular I can see Brooke doing very
well. Maybe her not being pimped will work out for her though. People are clearly sick of the pimping (see half of Carly's hate, the other half coming from
people who are pissed she had a record deal prior to AI).
Brooke can give excellent performances, get regular praise as opposed to over the top pimping and really make people love her. |

I liked it better when the performances were purchased from the AI website and popularity results for the tracks weren't released until the season ended.
