Mikey put it on himself.... sorry, but that was really dumb of him to reveal to everyone that he had a strategic mind... you don't tell the entire group
your strategic game... he was worrying WAY too much that Kathy would get the idol and then give it to Chet... it's just an extremely improbable
situation... first that Kathy would even find the idol, and second, that she would give it away to Chet. It's fine for Mikey to think through those
possibilities, but it was dumb to come up with a plan and then tell everyone about it... that's a perfect definition of overplaying. And then Joel went
ahead and got way too paranoid and did the exact same thing. These noobs don't have the best tact... they have the strategy figured out, but they
don't know how to go about scheming in a sneaky, crafty way.

i agree that it is never a good idea to show your cards strategically early, BUT - since he did, if joel had the mind he likes to think he has he should have
used it to his advantage. he now knows that Mikey is a player and will be a threat down the road. however, since Mikey is not even looking in Joel's
direction and is at the moment coming up with a 5 page plan to make sure he stays safe, there is no reason for Joel to shoot off at the handle and already
begin the plans for Mikey's demise. all Joel has now done is spotlighted himself and be in line to get the boot right after he get's Mikey gone... bad
gameplay all around by the only two ppl on the tribe who even have the slightest idea of how to play the game.

I'm so glad this happened. If you let Mikey and Mary's relationship grow, it is harder to break it up later. COUPLES are the ones to watch for and I
really hope they continue this trend to break them up. I don't want another freaking Amber/Rob final 2.

I don't know Sov, I think Alexis might have a handle on how to strategically play the game. And the long-haired guys might not be as dumb as they look
either... they were smart to stay quiet and go with the flow, knowing that Joel was setting both himself and Mikey as huge targets. They weren't opposed
to getting Mikey's biggest ally out of the game, but they can put all the blame on Joel now. So I wouldn't count those three out quite yet, but maybe
they are as dumb as they look, it's hard to know right now.

For every Romber, there's a Rob/Sarah; Candice/Adam; Silas/Lindsey; Greg/Colleen, etc. It was a weird strategy because there was still lots of time to break them up. |
