Anyone who doesn't think she knew who Mary was is pretty unperceptive. She was just shocked by the choice. He said "Mary" and she replied
"who?" because he was speaking softly and she thought she misheard him. When she said "where did Mary come from?" she clearly meant
"why?"
I realize it's funny to think she didn't know who Mary was, but that's clearly not true. |

I realize it's funny to think she didn't know who Mary was, but that's clearly not true.And so are half of the things editing points us to believe. Besides, the humor is more or less in the fact that Mary was invisible, and Kathy just seemed to unwittingly narrate what a lot of viewers were feeling at home. "Mary!? There's a girl named Mary on this tribe?" |
