I don't really understand them much (all I know is that DVR #s come out 2 weeks after initial broadcasts -- so this would be premiere week ratings). But it def looks like BB is doing better with DVR viewers, so that's a bit of good news. Top DVR Shows

Having the highest increase in viewership for DVRs (in terms of %) of any show that week, as well as all three shows posting increases of more than 22% is very good news for CBS. More than likely, it means that the summer crowd is tuning in, but they're choosing to watch AI live and then record BB. This is backed up by Sunday's BB DVR ratings being the lowest of the three, even though it had the second highest number of live viewers of the three episodes.

All I've heard lately is how bad the show is doing. Its tough because when you are up against a juggernaut like American Idol its almost impossible to keep people tuning in but the fact that its getting DVRed is a good sign.

No jackass it is because you and the rest of the big brother clan are cheap labor to go up against american idol vs way more expensive first run shows of cbs scripted dramas. Don't get me wrong though I love that the split happened tonight. I only put this comment in this thread because josh mentioned the RATINGS

Those ratings were for the first week. There will be a drop off. Majority of the people I know hated the couples twist and stopped watching.

I was surprised because of the live eviction and "twist" (which maybe everyone assume it would suck, which it did): Yesterday's Winners: Deal or No Deal (NBC), The Moment of Truth (Fox), American Idol (Fox), Law & Order (NBC) -Yesterday's Losers (Excluding Repeats): Big Brother (CBS), Men in Trees (ABC) ---------- -Ratings Breakdown: Led by the live American Idol Results Show, Fox's streak continued. In the distant No. 2 spot was NBC. Although American Idol was in a class of its own with a hefty 26.63 million viewers and a 10.1 rating/26 share among adults 18-49 at 9 p.m. (so long, David Hernandez -- I got it wrong!), also worthy of accolades on Fox was The Moment of Truth. The controversial game show kicked-off the evening first in the 8 p.m. hour, with 10.36 million viewers and a 4.2/12 in the demo. Second was NBC's Deal or No Deal (Viewers: 10.17 million; A18-49: 2.5/ 8), followed by ABC's Wife Swap (Viewers: 6.34 million; A18-49: 2.4/ 7), CBS' Big Brother 9 (Viewers: 5.44 million; A18-49: 1.9/ 5) and deteriorating America's Next Top Model on the CW (Viewers: 3.57 million; A18-49: 1.8/ 5). All five series were of a non-scripted nature!

Most people heard after the east coast show that Alex was robbed, so we didn't bother to tune in on the west coast.

Also, I was so wrapped up in seeing how Josiah Leming would do, I forgot that Big Brother was on, and I missed an episode. Now I watch Big Brother live and tape American Idol. Big Brother has gotten to be very interesting.
