The quality of the 2008 series is the WORST in American Idol history. Why? Because the 24 semifinalists have the lowest combination of talent, personality,
charisma, and natural star quality. The talent is there, but the other factors went down the drain. That the producers are hailing this roster as the best ever
is insulting. Not one of them so far can hold a candle to the greats of the past six series. Even last season's roster, for all their flaws, was a zillion
times better than this lot: Melinda Doolittle had her high-level consistency and sense of class, Sanjaya Malakar had his goofy charm, Chris Sligh was the
snarkster, Blake Lewis was a beatboxing trainwreck in the making, Antonella Barba was the slut of the group... no one this year comes close to that. Maybe
it's because the majority of the contestants have HAD their moments in the sun. Even David Archuleta, the youngest of the 24 semifinalists, had his chance.

Michael Johns, David Cook, and Four-leaf clover AKA Irish Plant, are easily as talented as anyone we've ever had on Idol. We haven't seen a handful of
the others, so it's still too early to really call it.
I'll still hate this show, just like I do every season. Too predictable and manipulated from the jump. |

Was the last guy chosen, the washed out blond, chosen to be the "first eliminated?" They obviously every year put in those choices knowing the
public will want them off first so they can pimp the ones they really want to win Obviously when a Sanjaya stays they have to then say "America was
wrong" continuously.
Something I found so annoying was all the wasted time on some boring ones that got eliminated when I wanted to see more about those they chose. That's obviously Nigel's fault, he spends so much time on totally uninteresting people every episode.

Carly Smithson, Brooke White, Kristy Lee Cook, Ramiele Malubay, Danny Noriega, Michael Johns and David Archuleta are the best talented contestants ever.

You have to put in consideration that they started with a THEME week. If it had not been a theme week, I think we would have had better
performances....showcasing everyone's own individual style. They were in a way limited.

I say the theme week help expose the lame early. I really don't need to be disillusioned that they're "the best talent ever seen on the show
before" only to have to face the cold reality of their suckaciousness when they hit theme weeks.

The talent is just so ridiculously uneven this season. The ones that are really good are going to make the average and shitty ones look like the mediocre
talents they are.
It also underlines the fact that Idol knows who they are looking to sign from the jump and cast a bunch of patsies as not to threaten "chosen ones." ( Lukewarm, Jason Yeager, Rockin' Robbie, Colton Berry, Chikezie Eze, and Scroto Teabaggins, anyone?) |

I hope the girls do great then, because if this is seriously the 'best top 24' ever, I don't know what they're on.
Season 4's top 12 men blow these out of the water easily. And Season 5's were a bit better too. Season 6's were so terrible that they really had nowhere to go but up. |

Season 6 is my hated season ever, I never visited the AI6 website last year when my computer had no internet access, During the second week of Hollywood week,
I didn't watch the Top 24 revealed in AI6 and also, I didn't watched the top 24 week, I didn't know that 4 of 24 people were eliminated. I visited
the website of past seasons (1-5).

I didn't watch any of the premlims so last night was my first viewing of the talent. I couldn't believe it! when I saw not one, not two.. not even three but at least four people I really dug! A M A Z I N G! |
