I hated the leg 5 in Thailand, Cyndi/Russell couldn't find the water taxi during the detour.

And I loved that leg. It had one of the best and balanced detours ever: Confusion Now or Confusion Later. It had Fern the Fabulous and the Way of the Cha.
It had Blake and Gary burning cars in all the wrong places. It had Wil dumped by his cabbie in the middle of nowhere. Buddhism was insulted, tuk-tuks raced,
bats bombed Racers. It had a loving couple going out with dignity and grace. It was one of my favorites legs in any Race ever.

Was Cindi the one Miss Alli hormonally loathed? I can't keep up with her rants anyway these days.

^ No. That was Millie from TAR4. She was the first of her many TAR hates.

Miss Alli can go fuck herself (since no one else with a working brain will...)
Millie <3333. I hated seeing her and chuck just completely fall apart on TAR 4...so depressing... But anyways back to TAR 2. It was a great season with very few dud teams (Only Deidre/Hillary, Hope/Norm, Cyndi/Russell and unfortunately Chris/Alex come to mind...some may say Gary/Dave but I personally liked them) Plus you had amazing teams like Tara/Wil, Oswald/Danny, Blake/Paige, Mary/Peach, and (in my opinion) the Gutsy Grannies. Just plain awesome to watch those teams week after week. |

Gusty Grannies woke up late at the start of leg 3, before they leaving to pit stop their alarm clock didn't went off, at the airport in Sao Paulo-Guarulhos
Airport, Sao Paulo, Brazil they booked flights to Cape Town via New York and London. Before arriving in South Africa, they arrived in London Heathrow Airport
and they stuck in an airport between 24 hours. When they arrive in South Africa few days later, they went to Robben Island and they opened their clue and it
revealed was a Pit Stop. They were eliminated 24 hours behind the other teams.

I have to agree, season 2 was one of my favourite seasons. It had a great cast, great locations and it polished up a bit of the choppiness of TAR 1. TAR1 is
still my favourite season, but TAR2 is a close second.

Blake was hilarious. Most contestants think they are going to be models or actors, but Blake thought he was going to be Sam Walton.

It was both but more the water taxi as far as time blown. Remember you can see them go one way and Mary & Peach going the other right after they read the
detour clue. In fact Peach notes that and Mary guesses that maybe Cyndi & Russell were doing the other detour option instead. Turns out they were doing
the same one but looking for the water taxi in all the wrong places.
Cyndi said they got directed to the wrong water taxi or something like that in posts online too. That's why they "walked five miles for nothing" or whatever it was Russell said. Why you see them standing as a water taxi goes by them. That was the wrong water taxi NOT going where they wanted apparently. Something like that I think she said. She used to post a lot online and was really helpful about TAR insider stuff. So any trouble finding th bird market was just icing on the water taxi fiasco cake. |

I'd actually go as far as saying TAR6 was worse then TAR8 due to the sheer unlikablity and bland sameness of everybody that made it far in the game.

I loved the winners of TAR2! Alex was so hot! I liked TAR 8 way better than most of the other seasons. TAR 9 is definitely the worst. I didn't care for
anyone almost

^You LIKED Chris/Alex?
I would've been okay with any other team in the Final 6 winning...C/A were so BORING. Season 8 would've been better had the course been better. They had some great families on that season (Paolos, Gaghans, Bransens...all fun to watch) I agree that season 9 was the bottom of the barrel. All the likable teams were eliminated before leg 6! And it had the WORST final 3 ever. I forced myself to root for Ray & Yolanda (Fake frats and Fake hippies can go jump off a cliff...) |

I liked Chris/Alex, Best winners ever in TAR2. Wil had a fear of heights in leg 10, when he and Tara were terrified the bungee jump detour.

I have a friend who loved Chris/Alex winning. She calls them the "Boston Hotties." So I guess it's all relative. When it got down to the final 3
I was personally rooting for Blake/Paige to win, and then Tara/Wil (mostly because I wanted to see Wil loose
As for the worst season, I find that elimination order often decides how great a season will be. For instance, Jonathan and Kendra, Hayden, and a few others made TAR 6 quite unlikely to me, not to mention the terrible winners. The only team that lasted to the end that I enjoyed was Kris/Jon, and they had a disapointing loss to the finish line. (*shakes fist at train*) The same thing for me was in TAR 7. Most of the teams I really enjoyed were out in the first few legs. With the entire season becoming the Romber show I just didn't enjoy the season. in TAR 4 the first half I loved, while the second half I hated. TAR 8 I thought was a great season, as long as you realize that not all the tasks were great and they were not going anywhere all that interesting. The teams made that season and I enjoyed it for what it was. |

TAR7, 9 and 10 are seasons that seem to depend almost entirely on how much you like or care about the 'stars' (Romber, Hippies/Frats, BQs/Lyns) as all
the interesting supporting characters imploded by the halfway point.
TAR6 had a COLORFUL enough course to be fairly entertaining in the last few legs, if not amazing; TAR4 fared worse with most of the late legs being unrewatchable. |

^ I thought overall that TAR4 was a little more bearable than TAR6 but I tried re-watching TAR4 and couldn't get past the first episode. So I tried TAR6
and have s-l-o-w-l-y (I NEED down time after an episode of Jonathan, Hayden, Lori and Adam without a diving suit on) made it to Hungary. Gus & Hera go out
next leg so I may quit watching but at least I have to say TAR6 is more watchable than TAR4 right now for me. TAR9 I have no desire to re-watch again ever
despite Oman being a decent leg and despite enjoying the Glamazons and Lake's antics. The fake mactor hippies and fake mactor frat boys just totally ruin
it for me.
And I'm glad there are some other people out there that liked Chris & Alex. They are my favorite winners ever for reasons I just can't entirely explain. Maybe because they just seemed like regular guys at least at the time as compared to most the other alpha male teams. Maybe I just enjoyed a sheep whisperer winning. Maybe because they are fellow Red Sox fans and are not named Rob. Maybe because I stood up and cheered when they passed Wil on the way to the finish line. Who knows. I just liked them winning. Yeah I'd rather Oswald & Danny or Mary & Peach have won. And I'd be okay with Wil & Tara winning but seeing Wil lose was even more satisfying. |
