By ep 13, Amber had 27, Danni had 30, Vecepia had 38, because that was the last episode of the season, prior to that episode? She had 23. There's a variety of reasons that these numbers aren't as simple as they appear. It's misleading.

Less than two confessionals an episode until the finale where the editors wanted to build her up so the fans would think she was worthy of the $1 million. She was a non-character that went out of her way to avoid making the show entertaining. Danni's probably an even more constant "who?" throughout the course of her season but that's entirely due to StepheME. I, mean, imagine Richard Hatch making it to the F2 on Amazon and how stunted Cesternino's confessional count would've been?

Ranking Of Players That Made The Final 10 (Based On Average) Notes: Ties were broken by overall finish. The person that finished in a worse placing is higher on this list because they had less airtime to have confessionals in. If two had the same placement, the tie was broken due to age of the season (in favor of the more recent season) as the older seasons tended to have less challenge footage and more confessionals. Hera are the averages: Borneo - 49.4 Australia - 38.9 Africa - 37.9 Marquesas - 35.1 Thailand - 34.8 Amazon - 32.9 Pearl Islands - 32.8 All Stars - 30.4 Vanuatu - 30.3 Palau - 30.1 Guatemala - 30.6 Exile Island - 28.8 Cook Islands - 26.7 Fiji - 29.1 China -29.3 There was a big drop between Borneo and Australia because Borneo was edited more like a documentary. The confessional episode averages declined steadily (with a slight blip during Guatemala) through Cook Islands with Cook Islands having the longest challenges ever. The confessional episode average has actually trended up a bit for Fiji and China.

Women will always get fewer confessionals than men. And this season with 20 players plus all the injuries, plus the fact that Parvati didn't go to tribal council for several episodes. I'm not surprised her confessional total is so low. I'm just glad they made up for it by giving her some memorable non-confessional screentime.

For example, Borneo had 642 confessionals. Divide that by the number of people in each episode (16 in ep1 + 15 in ep2 + 14 in ep3 etc = 130). 642/130 = 4.94. So each person had an average count of 4.94 every episode. Borneo - 4.94 Australia - 4.10 Africa - 3.79 Marquesas - 3.51 Thailand - 3.48 Amazon - 3.29 Pearl Islands - 3.28 All*Stars - 2.76 Vanuatu - 2.83 Palau - 2.73 Guatemala - 2.80 Panama Exile Island - 3.03 Cook Islands - 2.13 Fiji - 2.47 China - 2.93 Micronesia ~ Fans vs. Favourites - 2.18 Bolded seasons are seasons that improved upon the season before it. Interesting that FvF has almost as low an average as Cook Islands does.
