The answer I'm coming up with now is Natalie.

The jury are all mad at her, or they would rather give the money to someone they hardly know than give it to her. Is the story going in that direction? Is there still time for it to go that way?

The answer I'm coming up with now is Natalie. But it's kind of clear that Amanda's game has improved. She wasn't well liked in China, and people didn't respect her. This time, people are calling her a jury threat. We never saw Todd call Amanda jury threat. (Plus, we have interviews were someone like Jason says he got along well with Amanda) I don't know it could be editing, and the editing is proven wrong.. But then again, it could be that Parvati's big mistake is taking Amanda to the end.

She just seemed like the most level headed fan and was a cute boring girl so LOGIC suggested she would probably go the farthest of the fans. Thus people latched on to her and desperately held on, for no reason at all really. I've been saying Amanda has had one of the best overarching edits, but of course the "by the book" people here who want to turn edgic into a science eliminated her ages ago. I'm not saying I think she wins, but people have been downplaying what should be considered a solid edit. She's been shown talking about both game-related and emotional things in almost every episode after the 3rd or 4th. MUCH better than her edit in China, but a bunch of people thought she would actually win in that season.

How safe is it to take her to the finals? I bet we'll see someone comment on it. Interesting how quick Cirie was to jump on the Dump Amanda Now bandwagon. There's a reason we're seeing Black Widow Brigade etc. All the "good" people will be on the jury. I think that Parvati's comment about how she's standing by her little sister is to set it up so Amanda will vote for her at the end.

I've never understood the logic of why the editing of this season would center on "why Parvati loses". IMHO, she's a second tier favourite (Fairplay, Ozzie, Yau-man and Cirie being the top tier), so you can't apply the RobM/Steph argument. Lots of F3 losers haven't got huge edits (Becky, Cassandra, Amanda (yes!)), so it would be a bizarre editing choice to feature why Parvati lost rather than why Cirie/Amanda/Erik/Natalie won. *Edited to add: 6-1 Wings now against Colorado - life is good.* Last Edited By: 9RedWing19 05/01/08 9:28 PM. Or those early TC questions from Probst that is used for foreshadowing. Thinking it over though, I'm thinking Amanda is in the final three and I'm basing it on her acting performance tonight and her demeanor at the reunion. If she thought she might be winning two seasons, she could have a lot of fun with faking the viewers out, even if she found out she lost China -she could have been thinking, "Oh, damn -oh well, I made the final three again, and think I've won that one, so let's play this up." Final three Cire, Parvati and Amanda -with parvati making a really good case -getting Alexis, Natalie, mabye in great irony Eliza's vote?

She did ask Amanda if she should tie it up and Amanda told her "no." In her confessional Cirie made sure to give her reasoning and was up front about it. Cirie's "breakthrough" scene at the lake was powerful. That was different (inspirational) music than I've ever heard. This was a good episode for Parvati for sure though. The scene with James was actually touching. I just can't see Amanda losing in a F3 scenario at this point, even though her edit eliminates her. It was funny how the three remaining favorites had powerful touching scenes this episode. (1) Amanda - when she finds the final clue, and at TC, (2) Parvati when James has to leave, and (3) Cirie at jellyfish lake with her "breakthrough." Nothing comparable with the fans.

For Natalie and Alexis, she is the biggest threat because she hasn't betrayed any Faves. She's more likely to sweep Fave votes than Parv\Cirie who would be dealing with a bitter Ozzy. If Parv makes F3 with the other Fave women, however, she can still beat Amanda on the strength of Fan votes She can run as "the person who booted Ozzy and helped ya'll get a bit further, and was your buddy from New Airai." Amanda has a decent Finalist edit, but had nothing ep.1-4. She was Parvati's Shadow, Parv got comments from Jonathan ("she has a good social game"), she had juicy scenes with Eliza, while it looked like Aamanda stood there doe-eyed and let her do all the strategizing. So, I watched on the 4"x5" screen up in the corner, while beavering away at multiple graphics projects. I'm a little crazy busy these days. "Sleep? What's sleep?" p.p.s.: Another perfect winner ep for Parvati. Tagged as the one who thinks she's in control. Great "How can she possibly win?" moment. Her edit as the the hard-ass gamer is nicely tempered by her good-bye to James and her loyalty to Amanda. I agree that Cirie can't be technically eliminated, but the quality of her Edgic qualifications is similar to Yau-Man vs Earl. Always a step below. p.p.p.s.: Relynn: But it's kind of clear that Amanda's game has improved. Not so, edit-wise. Her intro showed her play against James. Therefore they showed her as the player who made a great game move. Her lame moves were not part of the edited intro.

I think Parv would be just fine with Amanda going out, but she just can't soil her own hands in it. Say, next time if it goes 3-2. have my own malady, namely having tripped over Keegan's toys and knocking the wind out of myself and I've felt really loopy for hours. Don't tell me you're going to come hobbling in to Edgic next week toting an IV...it's been done, dude. Bad time to jump on the injury bandwagon ;-) Last initial thoughts - Well done Amanda. You're still an immature model but you played things perfectly, and I loved watching it happen. Truly. I am not fond of her, but (as edited) her story arc for the episode was wonderful. The producers got tired of the players ransacking the EI visitor's stuff and finding the idol, so they sneakily hid the HII at the camp and it worked. Hmmm, I think they just got tired of it being so easy to find; planting it at camp requires second-level strategy, since you need a confederate you can trust--but then you've indebted yourself to her. Ozzy was thrilled for Amanda. The rest of the jury just want to be entertained with blindsides and idol-play. Right--EVERYONE loves to see an exciting move like this, whether you like the person playing it or not. Amanda is near the bottom of my "like list" this season, but it was great to watch it happen. No wonder she is sad to have been a little snotty at the S15 Reunion show. And I thought Cirie did get a reaction shot after Amanda played the idol. She was grinning ear to ear and looking back at Amanda. Just checked; this was shown while Amanda was saying "I really didn't have it when I said so; I didn't lie", could have been in regard to what she was saying, not the Idol . EVERYONE had a reaction shot (Alexis, Natalie, Erik, jury, Cirie) right then...except Parv. BTW, Jeff must had had an idea she was going to play it, since the votes were stacked with all of the Amanda votes to be read first. I know they can edit the vote reading, but his comments and the looks on the tribe looked as if he really did save Alexis's for last. Or perhaps he has them segregated in the urn so that he can pull them in a more traditional "A, B, A, B, A...A!" order if the Idol hadn't been played. And, James now becomes the first person to place the same position in two (consecutive) seasons.

Delusional. Strong word choice, but I agree. Cirie's hubby got a huge welcome and applause, and Erik cutie bro and Erik's reaction to it was given quite a bit of time. Same with James' pop, who even got some dialogue along with Parv's mum. It may be just a matter of working with what they gave.
