That story is just a lie and it doesn't matter which two died. Also, they mentioned that Juliet could not be ruled out as part of the Oceanic six just because she wasn't on the flight. I don't know if they are just messing with us though.

That term implies that they were survivors of the "Oceanic" flight, and doesn't fit in with the story that Jack said of Kate saying 8 people and two not being saved, because the math wouldn't add up. Makes me think that Desmon is also not part of the six.

BUT I have been right on several things with this show How sure are we that Sayid is part of the Oceanic 6 ????????? Yes we saw him. We know he works for Ben. I did notice that the commercials never said that another member of the oceanic 6 is revealed (like it did for the others) We know that there are survivors left behind on the island in the present day. Could Ben have gotten Sayid off and could Sayid not be considered part of the 6 ? I think this would be the surprise they want to give us. When the 6 are revealed in finality we will have another flash forward to see another person considered part of the 6 and we will see the way Sayid got off the island with Ben's help and is considered "dead" in the real world. From what I know none of the others have yet referred to Sayid as being alive Ok flame away

However, more importantly, Sayid said that he had been a part of the settlement, and Elsa also claimed to "recognize him from somewhere." So Sayid has to have been out in the public eye at least a little bit... I like your idea, though. I just don't think it's possible, unfortunately.

However, with regards to your question, he actually said, in the episode, that he was part of the O6. And Darlton has made it clear that he is. Someone above mentioned that Darlton said in a podcast that Juliet could be one of the O6. This is false. They CLEARLY have to be on the plane to be considered one of the official O6.

The Oceanic 6 are 815ers.. thus the Oceanic part. We've seen four of the Oceanic 6 confirmed and some people just don't wanna believe it. Just because Jack and Kate haven't screamed "hey I'm O6" doesn't mean he or she isn't. They are. eta - Both Sayid and Hurley have referred to themselves as Oceanic 6.. isn't that good enough confirmation? No offense but sometimes there really is no mystery... TPTB can't be making things overly convoluted, especially concerning things like this when what they display is said to be the definitive answer to a question. They can't backtrack and say "Ha Ha! We lied! Sayid's not O6!" without risking huge backlash from fans for screwing with them. I'm also sure the O6 will be purely a Season 4 mystery, and we'll know the last 2 members by May.

This is not the time to be fucking with us about something as big as six people who definitely get off the island. I think the big questions are how those 6 made it off, how Kate got Aaron, stuff like that - not "is Sayid really an O6??". Since you guys have been talking about what the writers are telling us then this shouldn't be a spoiler: this season is about the freighters and rescue. So I agree that we'll know all of the 6 this season, possibly even this month since this season was going to end at 8 episodes if the strike went on longer. They've promised that we will know all members of the O6 by episode 8. Dammit dude, I was trying to go light on the spoiler free folks and you just up and said that shit. I <3 you. What's weird about this (also goes to prove something about the time difference b/w the island and "real world") is that noone (off the island) seems to question how Kate comes off the island with a 3 yr old and wasn't even pregnant when she got on the plane. Claire was ready to pop when she was on the plane, so for people to accept that Kate had a child on the island goes to show that the time on the island vs time in the real world when they get rescued skews at least 9 months.

I don't think they will kill off Jin.. but if they really wanted to shock us.. they could kill off Sun and make ONLY Jin one of the Oceanic 6. I don't think Anyone would see that coming.
