I'd be shocked if they ever go back to the original format of this show. After all, that's the format that originally got canceled, they brought it back so they could do a celebrity edition. And the next season is probably gonna be called "Celebrity Apprentice 2" anyways, not "The Apprentice 8".

That's because NBC officials Tuesday picked up two more cycles of the celebrity version of the Donald Trump-fronted show. "This revved-up installment of 'The Apprentice' has been a game changer for the series," Craig Plestis, executive vice president of alternative programming at NBC, said in a statement. The next celebrity cycle, like the first, which is unfolding now with such players as Carol Alt, Trace Adkins and Omarosa, will be set in New York City. And it won't return until January 2009. I don't know how many of the cast members would come back. I doubt hardly anyone from the first 2 seasons would. Either have celebrities or regular people against returners. The returners should just be the women's team from season 2.
