Why do so many people insist that a boot they didn't like happened because "it's all fixed?" I liked Michael and Carly a lot, but I also know they had flaws which did them in. Singers have been booted for STUPID reasons, or before singers who should have been booted INSTEAD, but there's always SOME kind of reason. I agree. I really don't think the show is rigged, if it was, someone by now would have framed the show considering the mega popularity and respect it has earned. I think they fuck with the bottom 2 or 3 placements but the boot I believe, is the real person with the lowest votes.

They manipulate by judges comments, show pimpage and other legal ways. I think they have their favourites but who goes home is who actually got the lowest votes.

Everyone brings up the small print at the end that the show can change the results. I don't think it's based on if they did not like the previous nights results. I do know there are very rigid rules for contest shows on t.v. and they gotta hop through hoops to get anything changed. I'm sure they have the right to "boot" someone off if they do something like commit a crime or something deemed illegal or inappropriate that they should not continue on the show. Then the person with the lowest votes wouldn't leave.

I do believe they fuck with the B2 and 3 placements but they are in the legal realm to do so (I think). But the rules for that sort of show are soo rigid that I'm not even sure if that's possible.
