1st: Ron and Chris: They were entertaining, they came in underdogs and came out the dominant team, they were endearing, they had one of the best team story arcs ever, and they are the highest placing parent/child team (or cross generation team, for that matter). They are, quite simply, one of the best teams in years, and I am so dissapointed they lost (I hope Christina doesn't feel bad that she seems to have cost her team the lead, since it was her ideas that put them in the lead in the first place, and her dad would have been way worse at the roadblock). I saw how good they were when they arrived (in Lithuania) 45 minutes behind EVERY team, and yet still came in third, even though other parent child teams would have surely kicked the bucket. They over came all expectations, and even a spoiler or two.
2nd: Nate and Jenn: They were so funny and so passionate. It's nice to see they're still together. The fact that they were crushed when they lost shows just how much their hearts were in this race. Plus, Nate is one of the hottest guys on the race.
3rd: Kynt/Vyxin: I never understood why people said that this team "surprised" them with their racing skills. They are a young couple! Anyway, they looked unique, and had some great moments (although they so were not dating)
4th: Azaria/Hendekia: Very competent, very competitive, very interesting dynamics, and one big screw up cost them the race (and yet, when Rachel and TK screw up their flights, they get saved, despite the fact that the siblings screw up was much more flukish). I'll never forget her face when she said "BUSINESS CLASS?!" Oh, and since Aazaria is dating Christina, I would totally love to see them on TARAS2. They would so win, since the last hybrid team won, and it consisted of a member who was the runner-up on their original season, and who was part of the more dominant team that deserved to win, and the team member messed up the final roadblock that allowed a pair of hippies to beat them. The comparisons are uncanny, and so history would probably repeat itself.
5th: Nic and Don: I liked them, and Don was kinda entertaining, but I expected more from the first grandson/gramps team. They preformed surprisingly well, but they had no real story arc, and were kinda invisible sometimes. But they had some great moments.
6th: Shana/Jennifer: They were very competitive, and definately not cannon fodder. They were also kinda funny in their cultural comments. Too bad they burnt out and got lost.
7th: It was good to see a religious team not always talking to God or saying God is on their side or whatever, and one who basically didn't act "morally superior", since they seemed to want to be cut-throat. Too bad they were not good racers.
8th: Marianna/Julia: I am very surprised that a pair of such athletic, feisty girls turned out to be a cannon fodder team. They were also kinda dull, which is also a surprise, since it seems that they can be loud, bitchy, feisty, and plus, their father recently died. With so much to work with, I'm surprised at how little they contributed to the race.
9th: Ari/Staella: The only thing they did was make for one of the most satisfying first boots ever.
10th: Lorena/Jason: Lorena was sometimes very entertaining, and Jason seemed very nice, and he is kinda cute. But he needs to burn in Hell for saying that the winners would be "surprising", meaning either he never saw the show or he's an idiot, or both.
11th: TK/Rachel: I would have liked them more if they came second or something. But since they won, it means that a near-perfect season ended on a very low note, which is particularly tragic since it could have ended on a very high one with Ron/Chris. It also sucks that, if N/J and N/D had been able to buy tickets for the bus, or if TK and Rachel had actually gotten a speed bump that wasn't so short and pointless, they would have been on a later train, and would have been eliminated. Then, Jenn or Nate would have sucked at the last roadblock, and R/C would have surely won. Also, I can't really think of one thing they said or did that was memorable (except for things that were memorable because they were so bland), except for Rachel's somewhat touching monologue at the end of the episode where they should have been eliminated. A word to the editors: no story arc + no entertainment + incredibly bland should not equal WINNERS, especially if they are a young couple. I figured because of their invisible edit, and Jason's comments, they would lose, since I thought that if they won, the editors would maybe try to give them more character. It seems I learned nothing from last season. Of course, I liked Eric so...
