Interesting, most of it was credible (except for the reason why Fairplay quit). If Parvati does go early and Eliza does indeed make the jury, that would
suggest Eliza's foursome winning out. But then he also says Yau goes early... If you also consider the vague Ami spoilers, does anyone have any clue what
the hell is going on?

I really hope this is true, but the fact that as I recall, Probst talking so much about Parvati/James/Ozzy/JFP in his interviews scares me moreso.
Or was I not paying attention? |

From ew.com:
Of course, Ami and Kathy's confrontation was nothing compared to what we saw between Fairplay and Yau-Man. As I mentioned in my EW story, the producers couldn't have scripted it any better - the ultimate battle between good and evil. They both lunged for the immunity idol, and then Yau slammed Fairplay's head into the side of a boat. Watching tonight, I thought I heard thunder outside my window at that very moment, but it was merely the simultaneous slapping of high fives all across the East Coast. What we saw back at the camps was not surprising. The Fans had no idea what they were doing, while the Favorites were constructing a shelter, making fire without flint, and swimming around in ''pee water.'' We also didn't see any strategizing among the Fans, while the Favorites were aligning into groups of four. There was the lovebird foursome, with two couples, Parvati (who was identified as a ''charity organizer'' - insert your own joke here) and James and Ozzy and Amanda, pooling their respective hotness, while on the other side you had Eliza, Ami, Penner, and Yau joining up. Cirie was seemingly too busy talking about being the girl on the couch to do much of anything. Going into the challenge, it appeared that the high-spirited Faves were poised for a rout, but appearances can be deceiving. A few interesting things about this challenge. One, of course, was Eliza wiping out when her cart banged into a tree. I know it makes me a bad person to like to see people get obliterated in physical competitions, but I just don't care. Plus, I wiped out at the very same tree when I did a run-through of the challenge the day before. In fact, the stupid cart almost ran me over! Two other things you did not see on screen. First off, there was a whole other section of the challenge that got edited out. Before the tribes had to bash their cart through the wall of sticks, there was a section of tree stumps that had to be moved out of the way. (In the run-through, they were tied together with ropes, but they got rid of the ropes for the actual one.) Another nice tidbit: Jeff Probst had to stop the challenge at one point when some of the Favorites attempted to start sabotaging the Fans' cart. That's a no-no, and they got a stern talking-to from the host-with-the-most and suffered a brief time penalty because of it. |

PS: I think I hear another proof that Cirie is already joining the showmance group, in Episode 1 whrn Fairplay was talking with Parvati and Ozzy, he said VERY
quickly "we're six strong"
assuming now that Cirie has already joined the showmance, of course she could have also agreed to the other side as well and none of this was shown at all... |

I can't remember now, was Parvati leaving early in his first (unedited) post?

^ I agree but maybe they are more unsure of Cirie (compared to JFP???) or they hate the 5vs4 because 6vs4 is harder to flip versus 5vs4

For all we know tribes might get mixed after Mary gets the boot. In that case Cirie will never have to choose. I have a feeling there will be an early tribal
mixup this time because they seem to be building the tension of the fans (like Kathy) wanting to interact with the favorites. They're going to want to
start that dynamic sooner rather than later. It's probably also why they're showing the showmances so early on in the season...because at least one of
them will probably be split up. I think if they were going to keep the tribes separate, they would have waited on the showmances and let them build up for a
few more episodes before blatantly revealing them. The storyline of star-crossed lovers existing on separated, mixed up tribes (and perhaps meeting on Exile)
will be an element in this game I think.

Terrywins wrote: It was in an EW article. They were also talking about voting Ozzy off, but Eliza felt they needed him for challenges. Cirie said "he's not stupid" so I think she sees him as a threat. We know from her first season that she likes to take down the threats (Lumberjack Lady, Courtney). The question is who is more threatening to Cirie...the showmances or the masterminds? |

This whole thing read to me Alexis vs Parvati down the line with Cirie trying to figure out where she stands.

I'm sceptical that Cirie will end up in a power position (hopeful but sceptical), but one reason why she probably wasn't seen strategising and we
weren't shown the two alliances campaigning for her vote could be because another episode could basically focus around 'Cirie's choice'. If
Mary's booted in ep. 2 and Yau in ep 3, that could be what Ep 3 is mainly centered around, the two alliances campaigning for Cirie's vote.

gretchensucks wrote: you know the funny thing is that Cirie wanted Ozzy out (EW article) and during Fairplay talk with Eliza/Jonathan/Ami (episode 1), Fairplay wanted Ozzy out too, but they wanted Parvati out first imagine if Eliza agreed to Ozzy right away? Could have been a different outcome! |

Sadly, it pays for Cirie to be in an alliance with Ozzy and James considering that they are both HUGE targets. It hides her as a target if she's with them
and she knows that.
I wonder if Cirie is not a main player in an alliance right now because the others see her as the best player out there? They may ACTUALLY be fearful of her. (as strange as that sounds) Still, whatever Cirie does, she's in danger one way or another after Yau is gone. First, pre-merge because of the challenges. Second, post-merge because of the threat to win it all. Nobody's going to want to go with her to the final 3. Either way, she looks to be screwed at some point. Her best bet will be to join up with fans later on down the road-make alliances with people who desperately need her for as long as they are in the game. |

That's why I don't understand why people think that she should join with JAYE. Do they not understand that Cirie will not be seen as a target if
she's with those strong competitors, James and Ozzy? Heck, Amanda, Parvati, and Eliza will be bigger targets too.

I was thinking what if cirie makes it to the tribe switch, and is mixed up with the fans. Will the fans target merge/Challenge threats or go for the weak.If
they have to number post-swap, will they just target the challenge threats like Ozzy and James?.
I would say that Yau and Ami gets voted out pre-swap, and Eliza gets voted out post-Tribe swap.
