For those of you not in the know, Carla Bruni is a 40-year-old Italian former supermodel turned successful singer who is either soon going to marry or has already secretly married French president Nicolas Sarkozy. These pics make me wonder how in the world Sarkozy managed to get her. She seems so nice too (judging from the twenty or so pictures I've seen of her thus far and especially those last two pics), as compared to him.

But on Saturday morning, only three months after their first meeting, the smoking hot super-model-turned-pop-singer Carla Bruni and the pathetic French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, were married in a small, 20-minute civil ceremony at the Élysée Palace.

Official confirmation came initially not from the Élysée but from the mayor of the Eighth Arrondissement, who officiated at the ceremony; the presidential palace is in that district.

"I married two voters of the Eighth Arrondissement district who live at 55 Rue du Faubourg St.-Honoré!" Mayor François Lebel told Europe 1 radio, giving the Élysée's address.

Clearly enjoying his sudden celebrity, Mr. Lebel added: "The bride was in white. She was ravishing as usual, and her breasts were erect. But the bridegroom wasn't bad either."

Moi? No, I love Carla she's one of my all time favorite models along with Yasmeen Ghuari. Plus Carla's album isn't half bad... in fact I like it a lot. So point your crooked finger towards someone else, dickbag.

I work with a bunch of French people and we were debating a few weeks ago if a President can remain single. The result of the debate was that Presidents (and foreign dignitaries) are under great pressure to be "attached" with all the entertaining and functions they are expected to attend. I read about this on a French news site and they confirmed that the banns of marriage (once a week for 3 weeks if I remember correctly) were not published due to a special dispensataion.
