She's on some contemporary country album list somewhere. Barring Shania because her sound was a pioneer of sorts, traditionalist are very picky about their sound. Let me know when you find a list like that.

I'd say nice try on your part. On Amazon, Taylor sells in the Country and AC categories, while Carnival Ride is in country. Smart move on Taylor remixing her songs to sell in multiple formats.

Crazy ex-girlfriend, I love that album and Miranda. She's not only a terrific singer but a kick-a$$ performer unlike boring Cuntry Carrie. I'm glad she is included in that list of great artists, and did you know she's only 26.

Taylor has 2 cd's in the top 50. That's impressive no matter how you try and slice it. The first cd just shows under music, no pop, no country, no adult contemporary, nothing and yet, it's outselling Carrie's new cd.

i don't care what taylor does but i know one thing the girl can't sing live worth a shit. Country is known for just that too and pop is known for lip synching and shitty vocals but big performances......hence, she's a girl playing both angles but the one that should count she really is not that good at.

that's VOCALS and why Carries pwned the vocalist award for 3 years. Yea you can't win it forever but it will be a long time before someone else does what Carrie has done, if ever because she's going to be around a long long time. Hell I guess she could top it.

People said the same thing about the other power houses winning the vocalist award. It'll happen again. It's not like Carrie was the first - and she won't be the last.

But I will say this - Taylor Swift HATE. She really is less talented than Carrie. Underwood deserves to sell more albums. Swift just has a better cross over to pop album, so it appeals to more. That's all. Otherwise, Carrie does pwn her in every single other aspect.

Why is it such a big deal to the Kesbots that Taylor is outselling Carrie? Taylor is the biggest artist in the entire USA atm. I actually haven't seen any Carrie fans who really care that Taylor is doing so well. It's not a competition IMO. Apples to oranges.

True and she owns the tweeners with miley and a few other disney types

again, can Taylor sing Carries song list ? Hellllllllll no but I bet Carrie can do all of hers if she can stomach it :)

Can you imagine her singing JAD or Jesus take the wheel and I mean without rewriting the songs to remove teh big notes.
A bigger bomb would be IKYW as that song albeit repetitive requires a lot of range and power. It would be a mess

Taylor might last years or she might fade as she gets into her twenties if no other teen pop star comes along. She just to me has not gotten better live but she could grow I suppose. Carrie is a lot better than she was on Idol but she had a better instrument too.

But I agree, that Carrie could sing Taylor's songs, but not the other way around.

I've actually longed for Kelly to sing some of Carrie's (Just A Dream or I Know You Won't!). I think it'd be interesting to hear Carrie sing something extremely upbeat like MLWSWY.

Taylor has added more and more dancers and stage effects into her big performances to cover the vocals. Iguess that's fine too.
Carrie grabs the mic and just hits the notes. She's gotten better performing ( but she really can't dance ) but for some of her ballads you don't parade around a stage and dance. You just sing it.
Patsy Cline didn't do what Taylor does ya know.
Taylor would be like one of the Mandrell sisters, performing and playing an instrument......yea, i could see that.

and let's not forget how the Mandrells were country music for quite some time, huge!

Taylor has to resort to gimmicks now. She's not great live. Carrie is just a powerhouse vocalist. Taylor writes songs that appeal to a lot of people.

I would be shocked if Carrie's album didn't end up having a Taylor-made song. I like some of the arrangements/lyrics of Taylor's songs, I just hate her voice and portrayal.
