if i recall Miranda beat taylor for album last year with a cd that didn't have a #1 on it. Taylor had 4 and miranda had 0 and she still won the albumaward.
I think it was the ACM's too but I am not sure and I am barely online due to some fuck cutting a optic line near atlanta and my internet is barely back online.
but it just means you can sell stuff but not get the cudos from the voters because you SUCK LIVE. If Carrie wins vocalist of the year makes anything but the EOTY moot. It would be gravy to win album and vocalist. Normally the CMA winner wins ACM but I won't count that award until after they announce it.

What, wearing black and hiding her fugly thighs? Big surprise there. They should start photoshopping her press pics as well. She should have posed sideways too. Anything to help this gal out.

This so called singing sensation Taylor Swift that you so highly tout Shannon, may not make too much of an impact in the UK at all. She's getting her knocks for sure.

She has a tendency to use the same images over and over again - she spends so much time kissin' in the rain that it seems a miracle she hasn't developed trenchfoot - but she is fantastically good at regarding teenage life with a kind of wistful, sepia-toned nostalgia: "When you're 15, somebody tells you they you love you, you're gonna believe it," runs the chorus of Fifteen. This is both clever - at a stroke it broadens her potential market from teenage girls to anyone who used to be a teenage girl - and a bit creepy, given that she's actually mistily recalling these events through the wizened-but-wise eyes of an 18-year-old. Two nights ago, Carrie jammed with Peter Frampton and Martina Mcbride on the General Jackson, the annual Country Radio Seminar Boat show featured premiere SONY artists for Radio Execs. They sung "Baby I love your way".

She's be performing live at the Opry tommorrow, 2 shows as well.

The Academy of Country Music revealed its nominees for album of the year on Thursday morning (March 5) in Nashville. The nominees include Jamey Johnson's That Lonesome Song, Montgomery Gentry's Back When I Knew It All, George Strait's Troubadour, Taylor Swift's Fearless and Carrie Underwood's Carnival Ride. Although the rest of the nominees were announced on Feb. 11, the album nominations were delayed due to a revision in the qualifications. Previously, albums had to sell 300,000 copies to be considered, but that is no longer the case. The ACM Awards will be held in Las Vegas on April 5.
