When was the last time one of us posted in Yelly's thread? Hell, I like Yelly even, but poor girl has the shittiest fans ever. Why compare ITYS and My Life? Pop songs always sell buckets more than country, and Yelly's is the first from the album. They always get much more promo than say a fifth single lol... At least ITYS is increasing drastically... that's a sign of good things to come.

On top of that, she performed White Horse on countless shows before it was even released as a single. It's no surprise it has such sales at this point lol. Carrie's only done ITYS in front of her country crowd at the Opery. IMO, most of the people watching already had her CD.

I guess everyone's a victim on photoshop just in different areas. I can't believe she's the youngest in that picture. Eva and Brooke both look younger v. Carrie. Maybe Carrie's cd isn't as good as Taylor's and that's why Taylor passed her in sales so quickly? If Carrie's cd was better maybe she would have done as well as Taylor. Carrie's first cd was good and she deserved the sales she got. Her second cd was an attempt at a carbon copy that fell way short and it was reflected in the sales. All those number one hits and overexposure and she still hasn't hit 3 million.

It's kind of amazing that she released 5 singles for sale before the cd came out and yet she still sold almost 3 million cd's in her first 3 months of sales. People are buying not only the single by the boatloads but the whole cd also. You would think they would buy one or the other. Taylor is hot right now. Even hotter v Carrie in her prime. Next year it will probably be someone new. It's just kind of phenomenal when you think that Taylor didn't have instant success with idol behind her and a built in fanbase of millions from the day she released her cd. That she was able to catch up to Carrie so quickly and then pass her with just her second cd is kind of mind boggling. Carrie's not hurting though so it really doesn't matter does it? Carrie seems to be settling in nicely to set herself up for a yearly cd release and 1 1/2 million to 2 million in sales on a consistant basis. That sounds like a good career to me. Especially for a girl who had given up on a music career and pictured herself a journalist at this point in her life.
