I don't see anything wrong with CR sales compared to other artists. In fact, I believe there are only 2 or 3 other cd's still in the top 50 that are over a year old. She hasn't even promoted any song since SS from this album either which was over a year ago. So don't give me the massive promo bullshit.. Also, touring is where the money is made and she's performed for over 1 million fans. You can't say that about everyone these days..... Anyhoo, that's all I'm chiming in on. If you all want to fight, have at it. Debate till you turn blue..I don't give a fuck.... It doesn't change the fact that Carrie is doing very well.

Carrie has done very well and I'm not denying that she has. BUT I'll gladly be the lone voice of dissent in this thread as long as there are Carrie fans here who continue to put down other artists, be it Taylor or Kelly or whoever. It's bullshit, especially when Carrie seems to have everything going for her and it seems so bitter and unnecessary to begrudge other artists their success and time in the spotlight.

Yelly sold an apalling 2 million CDs worldwide as compared to what? 10 million maybe of her last one. Meanwhile, Carrie has sold almost 3 times as many CDs here in America as Yelly has of her last one. Yelly had so much promotion at the front end but no one cared so they didn't bother continuing to promote her shitty CD. Carrie's was great so it continues to sell. Boohoo, Yelly fans. Yelly was treated badly. Boohoo. Suck it up and give Carrie her due. She is a superstar.

The best-seller so far this year, Lil Wayne's Tha Carter III, has sold 2,695,000 copies. With just five weeks to go, it's unlikely that it can reach the 3 million mark before the year ends. Nothing else seems in striking range either. Five or more albums topped the 3 million mark in every year from 1992 through 2003. The biggest year was 2000, when 18 albums sold more than 3 million copies during the year. The numbers started to falter in 2004, when just four albums topped the 3 million mark. Last year, just one made it, Josh Groban's Noel. I guess you can't count on a Christmas miracle every year. Go Carrie with your bad self and your stellar sales!

It does not mean people don't have the songs they just don't show up on chart records/stats

Does that mean Taylor would have sold EVEN MORE last year than Carrie??? I don't get it. Can someone explain this to me? Also I don't see Carrie's fanbase declining and she doesn't beg for votes. Although the fan voted awards are great-- the grammys & cma's are soooooooooo much better. Last thing (I know, I've been gone for awhile) I thought Carrie was supposed to go to Australia (and England??) soon.. Taylor is already over there-- why isn't Carrie? Is this still happening.
