One more thing, is it pretty safe to walk around that area at night? (We had a bad experience in Toronto onceI found NYC much cleaner and safer than Toronto, which was surprising to me since I was under the impression that NYC was a dirty scary place. Not so at all. Times Square at 1 am was fine! I'd say Toronto is the dirty, scary city now. I have the same hope seaguy. The over the top nuts had better keep their traps shut!

And if you want yet anothr recommendation, try to catch "Jersey Boys". also walk down the street and head into Chinatown for great shopping Ooooo...Canal Street! Best. Fakes. Ever. especially the Kate Spade.

Can't wait to see Spamalot. I will also try to see Jersey Boys. It's was the 2006 winner of the Tony. I think this a wonderful opportunity for Clay and
that he does very well with this new adventure.

There were plenty of Clayfans in the audience at Heather Headley's "Broadway Cares", and, IIRC, our behavior was as Caesar's wife. As it will
be at the "Tribute to Neil Sedaka".
I admit I DID have to contain myself at "Spamalot" when Tim Curry entered! |

you know, this is a MONTY PYTHON production, fantardedness probably goes hand in hand with the play itself. I'm betting the actors/actresses would feed
off the energy of the hardcore Clayfans so I say just go have fun and don't worry about being all proper.

applause. It looks like a load of fun. Gee, the evening dates in May are already into row P. I guess I'll have to try for April. I bet NY is amazing in the
spring.

It's going to be so much fun! "Spamalot!!!" I'm really happy for him cuz I LOVE Monty Python! It's pretty cool too that Eric Idol said
nice things about Clay.
Always look on the bright side of life...everybody whistle!!! I wouldn't mind seeing 'Wicked' Again. I saw it 3 years ago with Christine Chenowith. It was GREAT! I play that CD a lot! so many great songs! The OFC is going crazy tonight cuz Clay was in there chatting in the chat room with the fans. Over 1,000 fans jumped in. I'm surprised it didn't bring down the site. I was too busy reading the Spamalot thread. By the time I went in, I had just missed him. He apparently posted on the Spamalot thread too..Everyone said he sounded really excited! |

Oh crap, all this talk of Italian food is making me hungry. We have shitty Italian food in Texas. May have to go see Clay just to do the round of
restaurants. Thanks for the recommendations. We have seen Spam a couple of times in NYC and the crowd was pretty rowdy to begin with. Clay can be funny and
he is such a huge ham that this might be right up his alley. I say good for him. Should be interesting anyway. Pretty cool that so many AI alums are finding
success on Broadway. I guess this kind of puts Cowell's perspective of not being able to cross over to rest. If you can sing, you can sing. Can't
necessarily be a pop star, but few can (as most of the Idols have proven). How are all the winners from other countries doing? Any with staying power?

The best food in the Times Square area is found in the Thai restaurants. There are tons in the W.50s and they're less touristy than places like Carmines
(which can be a zoo but is fun.) Just look in a guidebooks and you'll find plenty in the area. Mmm Thai food.
 Although if you're a tourist, you'll probably like the more touristy places.

I like the New York Hilton. And it's near Saks! It's a bit further up but still very walkable.
