no fanwar here from me. I already said I hope Clay has a lot of success on Broadway. I've seen his concert clips, he's VERY funny so I have no doubt he can handle the comedy aspects of this play and we all know he can sing so he's set IMO. |

You're right, Seaguy, and I hope so, too. There's already some talk on the boards about it, with the seasoned Broadway attendees admonishing the rest
of the fans about it. It's just common sense, really, that this is not going to be pop-concert Clay, so pop concert behavior is not acceptable. However,
some don't have much common sense but hopefully if it's talked about enough times between now and the middle of January, they'll get it through
their thick skulls. If not, I hope they're escorted out at the first opportunity.
eta: forgotn1, could you stop stirring the turd, please? I loved Boomie's thread when she got Dreamgirls and would love for Clay's Broadway thread to be a fun place to visit as well.

And back to the topic at hand, I truly hope that the good & respectful Clay fans way more than override the nuts who will go to the theatre to see this. Not everyone in the audience will be there will be there to see Clay (shocking but true!) and I hope the crazy ones don't ruin the Broadway theatre experience with the squealing & screaming & thudding that goes on at the concerts. And before I get shit for saying that, ALL of us know how the crazy faction of fans of his act. Not all his fans, but the fanatics.Amen to this. Seaguy. |

Acceptable Bway behavior - large ovation when Clay appears for the first time and screams, thunderous applause when he comes out for the curtain call. The rest of the time he's playing a character and not "being Clay Aiken." Everybody got that. NY is fairly expensive but if you come in January/February, hotels will be cheaper.

How about good Italian restaurants?Just get slices at any pizza joint that you find (they are on about every block). Don't go to Sbarro or the Olive Garden!

New York is a wonderful city. There are so many hot clubs and great restaurants to try. Also, many tourist locations such as the statue of liberty and the
empire state building. Also, many TV shows tape in the city. Jon Stewart, Letterman, The View, Alot of TV stuff to do. Wake up early and go to the today show,
it's fun and after you can go shopping on Fifth Avenue.
It should be a lot of fun for fans to visit the city. |

of the broadway district.
