Not a fan of Henin or Sharapova. I like Mauresmo and Venus. Serena is hit or miss. Somedays she seems tough others I want to hit her with her racquet. My boy
Tommy Robredo squeaked by today. He better get it together quickly.

I can't stand Sharapova. Can't watch her matches because of her yelling. And when she plays Venus, they try to outscream one another.
eta: Mauresmo wins the 2nd set 6-0.

Yep - add Robredo and Linds to the list of those who squeaked by; she was HACKED at the chair ump after that call in the 10th game of the 3rd.
The top half of the women's draw is ridiculously overloaded - check it out. If the winner comes from the bottom half, I'll be at least somewhat surprised. Momo's had a significant drop over the last year or so. She's reeled off 8 games in a row now, though. I really like how there's no commentators on the ESPN 360 site. It's much better to be able to hear the sounds of the match. |

Is Mauresmo still fooling everyone by playing in the Women's division?
"Congratulations! Your high speed internet service provider, AT&T, carries ESPN360.com." Who knew? :) |

Yeah, screw you both. Charter only carries it in St Louis and LA.... bah.

Hey, I didn't have it myself prior to the last few months...
We've had a few upsets today; only one that's a 'biggie', though: Men: #9 Andy Murray, and #18 Chela. Women: #23 Zvonareva (retired in 2nd set), and #32 Vakulenko. |

Patty Schnyder is my favorite. She's one of the absolute biggest head cases, but I love her odd lefty game. She took out Amelie a few weeks ago in a
warm-up event, and I hope she can do it again (assuming they both make it).
As for the men, I'm all about Federer. I'm usually not a frontrunner. When someone is dominating, I tend to find it boring (like when Hingis, Serena, or Justine win/won everything). But, I think it's different with Roger because I'm probably never going to see anyone like him in my life. I want to see him break all the records, win the Grand Slam, etc. Other than him, my favorite is Dmitry Tursunov. First of all, he's freaking hot as hell. And, if you haven't done so already, read his blogs from last year (some are on the ATP site, others are on his personal website). The guy has a great sense of humor. |

Baghdatis isn't being terribly consistent here. Lot of unforced errors for both of 'em. Kind of a sloppy match.

I thought Johanson retired a while ago?
Just turned it on.... listening to Darren Cahill makes me swoon... Of course I do that talking to my man in Australia :) |

Nah, he was going to, but he backed off of that back in August or something, I think. Probably because the eye thing screwed him up in 2006.

Looks liek Kusnetzova pulled off a win....
What other matches appear to be on tap for tonight? |

Roger-Vasselin v. Ferrer just started. Same with Safina v. Lisicki.

Dammit, they're not showing that on ESPN2...and I can't get 360...
I liked this cute Aussie guy that was playing Sparta from 300....unfortunately I think he's gonna lose |

I'm sticking with the Deuce anyway. I like the jumping around.

Undies - any seeds who didn't play yesterday... they're on today! *S* Too long a list to mention. You can check the schedule to get the quickest
answer, though.
Men's side: #16 Moya also fell yesterday, and #17 Ljubo got booted within the last hour, in 4 sets. He had a meteoric rise a couple of years ago, but he's been nowhere near maintaining that level of play for a good year and a half, at least. No upsets amongst the women's seeds thus far today. There was a strange thing, though... Anna Chak. won without (apparently) playing a point; that's not the strange part I'm talking about, though. The win is listed as a 'Retired' situation by her opponent. I thought that it was a 'Walkover' if you didn't play a single point in the match, but as soon as the first point is played, if one player has to drop out, it's then considered that they 'Retired'. Perhaps they did play at least one point, but her opponent retired during the very first game... thus not having any 'Games score' available for them to show on the results scoreboard. ETA: And I just found the answer I was looking for. They were tied at deuce in the 1st game when her opponent retired.

IIRC, you have to play at least a game to retire.... it's a walkover before then.
Crap, one of the upcoming Americans, John Isner (the guy that's like 8 feet tall) is playing today. if he wins, he gets Federer. Again (just like the Open) |

Looks like there's an upset brewing on the women's side - Szavay (20) seed about to be beaten.

Not yet - they're on serve! As y-day's Jankovic match showed, it's not over 'til it's OVER!
I thought that Djokovic - Becker would be a REALLY good match today, but Djoko just steamrolled. He's gonna be a force to be reckoned with for some years to come, I believe. |

I really like Djokovic - and with the HUGE Serbian population (Croation as well, but they wont' cheer for him) in Australia, he'll have some fans
cheering for him...
