5. Linda & Karen

Originally, I thought the Bowling Moms were grossly overrated, and I was really annoyed with Linda's whining, BUT I still liked them. Upon rewatching the season last year, they quickly became my faves of the season and one of my all time faves. They were fun, spunky, and hella competitive. Too bad they never got first place(?). They had suttle bitchy comments about C/C which I liked, because I found those two vile as all hell. When they weren't stressed out, they knew how to have fun, and when they got frazzled, they made for funny TV. I loved their idea to open up a foam club in Palmdale. Another hilarious moment was when Linda was driving the vehicle in Dubai, and Karen said something to the effect of "Oh God, Linda's going to crash the car" and Linda, completely oblivious to the comment, said "Does this thing have 4-wheel drive?". The delivery was GOLD. At the time I was a Charla/Mirna fan, so I did like that the Bowling moms were the only ones to join their alliance. They also could give Chip a run for his money in an eating competition. I was really impressed that they were able to kick a lot of ass in leg #1, placing 3rd, and they continued to impress as they stuck around leg after leg. Luckily they were saved by a non-elim and the pizza brothers, but still, the bowling moms owned and even inspired a future team to where "Bowling" and "Mom" tees. Their elimination in the Phillipenes (oh Lord, I'm pulling a Rob here ... I told myself I'd never forget the spelling after that, but I'm just guessing her ) was a depressing, since they were the underdogs that many were rooting for and the final roadblock task was grossly unfair at that stage in the game.

Race Highlight: When they refused to pay the cabby in Dubai, even though they frowned upon Colin the episode before. Then when the cabby brought the security guard into things, they realized they only needed to pay 5 bucks, making the whole situation that much more comical.







TIE: 6. Flo & Zach

I couldn't decide which team to put above the other: Flo/Zach or the team that will be revealed in the next batch. So I've decided to tie them, and I put these to first, because Flo is first alphabetically. Flo/Zach: what.a.trainwreck. But in a good way. They do genuinely care about each other, and while I was expecting Flo to be a lot whinier ( I saw TAR3 just last year for the first time ), she did deliver, but she wasn't useless. Her language skills really helped out the team. But Zach carried them, which makes him one of the most kick ass racers of all time, not to mention he's also one of the nicest to run the race. And what makes her the so kick ass is the fact that she could be whiney, but still be cute at the same time; I loved their dynamic, it was interesting, and fun to watch. Some of the things she'd say would make you want to slap her, but the way Flo can say and do things makes you like her, or maybe it's just me (although I know they have a lot of fans). The Flo/Drew (or was it Derek?) relationship was hilarious, because everyone thought that she and Zach should be together, but not only does she go to someone else, but one instance in Switzerland, she left him alone in the car all night. Some other funny moments was Flo complaining about Ian not being nice in Morocco, Flo at the fruit task in Ho Chi Minh City, and Flo bitching out Zach for letting Ken/Gerard take their map in Singapore.

Race Highlight: There are so many; I loved the map fight in Singapore, and Flo accidentally having a hand in eliminating the Wonder Twins, but hands down Flo's complete meltdown in Vietnam has to take the cake. It was so odd, why was she being so difficult? And she didn't even give shit because she knew it was a non-elim... but who wants to quit in the second last leg? Seriously.

TIE: 6. Ken & Gerard

When I originally watched this team, I loved them instantly. But the reason they're not above Flo/Zach is that many months after watching it, I can't remember too much of what they did, and Flo/Zach are more memorable. But still, I may not remember specifics, but I do know they had a funny dynamic and wit about them. It was fun to see their interaction, and they were usually on top of things, race wise. There were a few hiccups, like in Vietnam, but thankfully they pulled through. I thought Ken's relationship with Flo was hilarious. It may seem like I don't like them because I can barely remember what they did, but at the time I remember adoring them, and I do remember the gist of their personality, and they were fun, likeable, and entertaining. To be fair, I kind of breezed through TAR3 anyway, so they're one of the teams I remember more than some others.

Race Highlight: Help me out! I don't really remember a standout point, so whoever puts the best one wins.





8. Ray & Yolanda

Many people found them boring, and to be honest, I was one of those people at the beginning of the season. But they had such a dry wit about them, and it was enjoyable to watch, especially when they got along. The moment I became a fan was when they were in Italy, and they were in the bottom two, racing to stay out of last, and Ray was doing the roadblock and taunting the Danielle, saying things like "Yeah, I'm coming like Christmas, Danielle." Another standout episode was they went to Australia, and they kept making comments about Mojo. Then something like, "black people wouldn't be stupid enough to get into a pit of crocodiles. *Pause* OR WOULD THEY?" I like how they could calm each other down with humour in some situations, like when Ray was getting upset with the cabby, Yolanda says to him, "Shhh, how do you think he feels with this big black guy yelling at him *does impression*". Then when the Japanese people thought she was Janet Jackson. Not to mention Yolanda posted on sucks, and was very kind in returning PMs and questions. Come on, there's gotta be some other Rayo fans out there.

Race Highlight: When everyone including them, knew they sucked, and had gotten first place, even Fran/Barry. And then they surprised the shit out of everyone by beating out all 3 teams in Australia.
