169. Willard Smith (Survivor Palau)

I thought Willard was going to be a great character when I saw his pre-show video and read his bio. And he was. We just never saw it. I mean, he faked a stroke to get a water bottle. Hilarious! But I put him as high as I could, because frankly, he was a non-entity on the show, and that was the editing team's fault, not his.

What do I think is weirdest about Willard?

A) His job
B) That he's half black
C) His resemblance to the Immunity Idol

168. Danielle DiLorenzo (Survivor Panama Exile Island)

Danielle was my second favourite pre-show contestant because she seemed like she had a lot of potential to be the female Boston Rob. She was feisty, she said she knew the game like the back of her hand, and she said she'd be ruthless. Much to many people's dismay, she turned out to be a dud compared to the hype she gave herself. It was smart of her to try and keep her mouth shut for a lot of the game, but it also made her boring for a lot of the show. I still think she was a good character though, since when she did get airtime, she was interesting, like her strategy scenes or her fights with Shane, but overall she was just unlikable. She treated Bobby pretty poorly, and was superficial in that she said she would have never treated him like she did if she knew he was a lawyer. She was kind of a bitch to Sally, never understood that. She seemed snooty. Etc. But I put her this high because I think she's a better strategist than most give her credit for, but she's no genius. Neeeeeiiiiiggggghhhh!

167. Dirk Been (Survivor Borneo)

I thought I'd have Dirk a lot lower, but upon reflection, he really was a nice guy. But his crush on Kelly was dumb, and annoying. He had a good heart, but he still was kind of stupid at the game. But I liked how devout he was and how he was strong in his faith. Regardless, he shouldn't really be any higher.

I started watching Borneo in episode 8, so I didn't really know the people who left before that. I had been told who got voted out and maybe a brief word or two about them. What did I think Dirk was like (based on nothing really, just me being a dumb kid)?

166. Vecepia Towery (Survivor Marquesas)

Vee started out the season kind of funny, kind of liked her, but relatively indifferent. And I pretty much stayed that way the whole season. At times I liked her, I thought she was sweet. At other times, I didn't like her, because I felt she played the race card too much and she just rubbed me the wrong way. I still have to say that is pisses me off how she and Sean denied any alliance. Spoken or not, it was there. But going into the final 4, there were 3 people I really liked, and Vee wasn't one of them... so of course she goes on to win. She's just meh.

In episode 2, I pegged Vee to win (didn't stick with it though) but why?

A) She had a good edit in episode 2
B) She was in the middle of Maraamu, not really taking a side
C) She was black and there hadn't been a black winner yet
D) Just a random guess




















165. Mitchell Olson (Survivor: The Australian Outback)

Believe it or not, Mitchell was my favourite from the pre-show until he was booted, where I switched to Amber. But I don't know why he was. Dumb kid. But he was okay, I liked the alliance he was in. He seems bitchy on re-watch, but at the time I agreed with him because I liked Jerri and thought she was reasonable. Still he wasn't horrible, I still kind of like him, but not enough to put him higher.

164. Kel Gleason (Survivor: The Australian Outback)

I really liked Kel when S2 was airing. I thought he was robbed, and I felt like he shouldn't have gone home when he did. No doubt Ogakor would have won the next immunity challenge. He was unfairly accused of bringing beef jerky (or so I thought at the time, not sure now), plus he was a Canadian. But rewatching outback, he was kind of boring, and now I realize that he kind of dug his own grave by being antisocial. Still, kind of like him.

When Kel passive aggressively slammed Jerri at the reunion, how did I feel?

163. Travis Sampson (Survivor Vanuatu)

I liked Bubba because he was a family man. He seemed like a genuine guy. Though he was retarded for being so obvious about communicating with Chris. Still though, I liked him, and wish he could have stuck around, but rewatching the season, he wasn't all that interesting most of the time. Though I loved when he referenced Tina in S2 when he told Rory and Sarge to stop fighting or they'd go to timeout.

162. Sean Kenniff (Survivor Borneo)

Another one I thought I'd put a lot lower. But reflecting, he was a genuinely nice guy, just dumb as a rock. He was a horrible player, and a tool throughout the season, but he meant well, so that counts for something I guess. He was a great character that provided a lot of entertainment, and that's why he makes it this high, but I can't put him any higher.


























161. Diane Ogden (Survivor Africa)

I didn't like Diane at all during Africa, but she showed a softer side at the BFA special. After that, didn't really care for her, and she'd be a lot, lot lower if it weren't for her posting on sucks and showing what a sweetheart she is. But still, can't put her higher than this since I still need to take into account the show.

160. Michael Skupin (Survivor: The Australian Outback)

Let me just tell you Mike would be SOOOOOO much lower just a few years ago even. He was obnoxious, felt he was better than everyone, overbearing, and weird. The whole pig thing was a little disturbing, how he laughed very creepily etc. He just was an asshole. But on re-watch, while I still think he's bad, he's not as bad as I thought before. But still, the only reason he makes it this high is because the whole fire incident really changed him for the better and I think he went through a lot of growth, which is good. Good for him. He seems like a genuinely nice guy but still not enough to put him higher.

How did I feel when I learned that Mike was not selected for Guatemala?
