• Red means the team was eliminated.
• Green means the team won the Fast Forward clue. A green-colored leg number indicates that the Fast Forward was available for that leg but not used.
• An underlined Blue team's placement means the team came in last on a non-elimination leg and has to perform a Speed Bump task in the following leg.
• A brown » means the team chose to use a U-Turn; « indicates the team who received it; «» indicates a leg where the U-Turn was available but not used.
• Matching colors and symbols (+, ^ and ~) indicate teams who worked together during part of the leg as a result of the Intersection route marker.
• A yellow > means that team chose to use the Yield; < indicates the team who received it.
• A purple >> means the team chose to use a Road Obsatcle; << indicates the team who received it.
• An orange W indicates (Stand-off), and an orange L indicates (Stand-off).
• A light blue Y indicates (Opt-Task), and a light blue N indicates (Opt-Task).

Teams will encounter problems even before leaving the United States...

"Our taxi BROKE DOWN!"

"Shall we bike?"

"Why the heck did you choose to run? The other teams are ALL passing us!"


At the airport, teams struggle to find the best flight out of the US...

"This flight's fastest, but it has a connecting flight!"

"Should we change our money now?"

"Stop researching, we're gonna miss our flight!"

"The flight left!"

"Should we go to the Global Airline Travel Agency?"

However, teams will find out that that was just the beginning...

"EAT IT FASTER!"

"I'm gonna puke!"

"It's too spicy!"

Then, teams receive a nasty surprise...

"What? Oh, you kidding me!"

"We were barely here!"


Public transport will prove too much for some teams...

"We went to the wrong station!"

"Should we buy the card, or not? It might save us some transport money..."

"The train is not moving!"

"Faster!"

"Which line are we taking?"

"Oh, this is it! I QUIT!"

"You can't quit on the FIRST LEG!"


And teams are presented with a big dilemma...

"To buy or not to buy, that is the question."

Some teams struggle to speak at one detour...

While others struggle with singing in an unfamiliar language at the other detour...

The very first Opt-Task in the history of TAR will leave teams confused...

If the first leg is a superleg (and only if it is), rest assured you will be asked to book yourselves on a flight for a mystery destination arriving one week after or something like that. I can't think up 2 legs worth of stuff too. The first leg is gonna take up the usual 2-3h tops.
