Because as of now... HD camera equipment is very heavy (insert Hatch joke here) and isn't suitable to the needs of Survivor. Just imagine trying to lug
around a camera like that during challenges.

Yeah I remember this being discussed before. Back in the long long ago days before All-Stars, somebody associated with the production of the show (have no clue
who it was) said in an interview or something that HD equipment was too difficult to bring and handle out in the conditions that they have to film in for
"Survivor".

I own a few seasons on DVD and I swear the Palau season looks like it was shot in HD. It's beautiful on DVD. |

He's not the HD authority... Mark Burnett himself said it would just be too expensive for not that great of a benefit. It ultimately boiled down to the
cost.

pissed me off that this person thought we hadn't read his point. We read it, we just realize that's not the only answer.
