Parvati mostly got slammed for stuff she did in the game, and she was expecting it.
Amanda got slammed more for her personality, and she wasn't expecting it so it hurt more. Natalie and Eliza Ownage! Parvati's friends is funny... until Parvati posts and then you all are licking her ass and Amanda's to get on her good side.

What's impressive is that Parv voted off Amanda's boyfriend behind her back, and Amanda spent 12 more days with Cirie, yet Amanda was so loyal to her
at the end. Parvati has charaisma.
Sure Amanda thought she had a better chance against Parv, but even if she knew she wan't winning either way she'd have taken Parv out of friendship. |

I have mixed feelings about Amanda. Yes she is a nice girl, a pretty girl, a competent player, a good friend for Parv, and all of the F4 depended on each
other's good moves for their joint success. So many women to root for this season.
But I prefer my "bad girls" who have a bit more spunk, personality, individuality. I liked Jerri over Amber in S2, Ami and Eliza over Julie in S9, and Parvati and Natalie over their good girl partners. It also bugs me that all the Ozzy\James fans in the world (a majority of casual viewers) were rooting for Amanda as an extension of the Couples alliance. They thought her more deserving because she was loyal. The way I see it, Amanda was willing to play for 2nd behind Ozzy, Parvati dared to play for the win, so the right girl prevailed. The Black Widow Queen won over Ozzy's surrogate. Vanuatu and Cook Islands were my 2 fave post-ASS seasons, and Parvati's win brings redemption for both Ami's girlpower strategy and Candice's mutiny against Ozzy. Meanwhile Amanda and James were stuck repeating their China history.

I was watching some of Micronesia tonight, and it's absolutely ironic how astute Jonathan was in regards to Parvati. He had a sixth sense about her that
foreshadowed her victory. Pretty cool. Parvati said that he came up to her several times during the after party of the reunion and told her that he admired her
game play. I thought that was great.

I can honestly speak for myself when I say, pre-HII move that Amanda made I never really cared enough for survivor to sign up on sucks. See my sign up date. ;) I was pretty casual. Missing episodes/seasons every now and then. It was her moves in the game that made me love her so much. Second to that were her debate-able underdog status. Her affiliations to past players was the last thing on my mind. Though I would admit it was on my mind and might've contributed to a slight bias I had for her. |
