I think he gave one of the best jury performances from any season. This was one of the handful of fairly competitive F2/F3s. Most of the time, there is such loathing for one or more members of the finals that you simply have to not say anything horrendeous to get votes. Brian, Earl, Sandra, Chris, Ethan, Danni, Jenna, to name a few, were against people who were never going to see that money.

Todd managed to get across in a non-condescending manner that this was a game and what he did was for the game, not personal. He flattered those who needed to be flattered, and he never tried to dance around a question. When he said, "Thank you for helping me get to the finals," he managed to take a potentially arrogant statement and make it seem heartfelt. People who lost their chance at the money could feel like their efforts had at least meant someone worthy was going to get the check.

Amanda acted ashamed of playing the game. She went on a show about lying and backstabbing and begged forgiveness. The absolute worst answer she gave, one of the worst from any season I can recall, was when she told JR she didn't want to vote him out but she had to go along. The jury doesn't want to see weakness and helplessness. They don't want to lose to that.

I do think this season was one of the few which had a jury that did what a jury is supposed to do, which is be fair.

Not all. The whiny confessionals complaining about not trusting Todd and yet not doing anything about it would have also negatively affected the jury's opinion of her.

Those confessionals were the main reason I could never root for her. I believed they were there so we could see she was a nice person and a nice person beat out the wicked players. I'm relieved now that it seems those confessionals were there to show exactly why she lost.
