We got to see her make an alliance with Todd, we got to see her discussing boot options with Todd, we got to see her coming up with the idea of getting rid of James, we got to see her "apple pie" confessional, we got to see her purposely bond with PG, we got to see her contemplating voting off Todd. The jury never saw any of this. So what's left in their eyes? A nicer version of Amber, that's what. So in the end what we saw was much more impressive than what the jury saw. Whereas Todd, everybody can assume what he did behind the scenes, what kind of stuff he said in confessionals, because even though he was the biggest liar of all, he was still oddly, what you see is what you get.
Ironically enough, if they had shown the jury all of Amanda's confessionals like they did with Danielle in Big Brother 3, it probably would have made her won.
