I was speculating as to why, but if you read Jeff Probsts blog and the various interviews he has done, as well as the fact that there has never been an early merge(and that they frequently delay it), leads one to believe that the Survivor production team favors the tribal portion of the game. It seems to me that they cast "weaklings" for that reason, but activly go out of their way to disparage them.

Always half-assed solutions for fear of shocking the Survivor Fanboys (who apparantly are the only viewers left, if you check the low ratings). those moments will not happen more because the extra nourishment will help the winners, so despite what determination the losers have, they just wont have the energy to beat the winners. also, tribe mix-ups were a part of the show before palau. the hidden immunity idol was introduced post-merge so it clearly was not made to help people pre-merge. as far as any other twists go, most were invented before/during palau. so your argument is totally ridiculous. furthermore, most of those twists have mostly benefitted weaker players, except for maybe the fake merge, which again was before palau.

Your system isn't entertaining so much as it's frustrating watching players lose the game specifically because they lose a single challenge after winning seven in a row. You know, like what happened with Marcus. I want entertaining personalities. That's what makes the show interesting. Not challenges. None of that shit. Many of the most boring players are typical strong players that can do nothing other than win challenges. Meanwhile, pathetic players like Courtney, Crystal and Chet are fun to watch because of just how pathetic they are. Your idea of what's entertaining is very different from most peoples'. You're just one person, and you need to understand that. (Also, you need to understand that despite continuing along the same path and using the same system, ratings IMPROVED this season.)

Without the competition, there is no entertainment. Fair competition, to become the last Survivor. Of course using interesting characters is a bonus. But without fair competition, all you have is a bunch of idiots. And unless they are professional idiots like Jackass or Kenny vs Spenny, no one cares. (Except maybe you).

Not with me, and it has nothing to do with any criticism of your system. Gabon had one of the worst final 4's ever from a strategical point of view, and I loved it that we at least got to see their personalities. If there was a season with no tactical or physical master player and everyone voted their conscious, that would be fine with me. Without the personalities, than what is the point of even watching a competition?
