I've seen this movie twice now - once with a reviewer friend a few weeks ago (and we saw it in IMAX) and then wicked early this morning (in regular
theater). If you watch it, try to go to IMAX. Regular is fine but IMAX was better.
One of the best movies I've seen this year. I think I'll be a dork and watch it a 3rd time. I see something new each time. |

the fuckin' screenings are sold out for tonight until tomorrow. it's usually four of us but half of the four are coupled now and are doing their
'short term' ltr etc...

The Dark Knight, the
much-buzzed-about new Batman movie - featuring an incredible final performance from Heath Ledger - has broken box-office records for a midnight debut.
According to a story in the Associated Press, tracking firm Media By Numbers has the movie raking in $18.5 million from just the midnight screenings at 3,000-plus theaters. The previous record for a midnight opening was 2005's Star Wars Episode II: The Revenge of the Sith, with a measly $16.9 million. The TVGuide.com crew attended the movie en masse this morning and we can tell you - the blockbuster opening figures are no doubt just the beginning. - Nina Hämmerling Smith |

Jesus Fucking Christ.
I...just...yeah. I wasn't even that big of a Begins fan, but that was just. One of the awesomest things I've ever seen. Ledger was completely fucking stunning, but Aaron Eckhart was just as amazing as Dent. |

Loved that part UKK.
I've always had my opinion that the best actors, act with their eyes. Anyone can hit marks and spout off dialog. It's the body and eye movement that bring and flesh out a great character. And only three people can do it, and Ledger is no longer with us, so that's a shame. |

I refuse to participate in the mass hysteria. I think I'll be one of the only ones choosing NOT to see this movie.
Not interested. *sigh* |

Loved it. Surpassed all the hype IMO and while it goes without saying that Ledger's JOKER was amazing, Eckhart's HARVEY DENT was also superb. Great
writing, great direction, great acting. Went to a midday matinee in Midtown Dallas. Packed like cocks in Not Mary Kate's snatch.

Ledger played the joker wonderfully - He didin't overact at all, and made the character somewhat believable.
I'm still stoked almost 24 hours later. |

Revenge of the Sith made $16.9 million in midnight screenings, and only finished with $380 million.
Dark Knight will do $400-450 million. Titanic will never be beaten. It was a once in a lifetime phenomenon. |
