This theory only holds true if Aaron Eckhart being casted was before the announcement of Holmes not coming back. If you remember, Mr. Cruise was very adamant that the gratuitous sex scene between his wife and Mr. Eckhart be cut from Thank You For Smoking. Tom saw the sexual chemistry and he knew a second movie between the two would ruin his marriage, hence why he forced Mrs. Cruise to leave the role of Rachel Dawes.

He works as an industrial machinist and has these weird memories but can't piece them together. The movie's mostly only cool because of the physical transformation Bale underwent. I read he sent in an audition tape for Batman while looking like that, which made Nolan doubt him at first. But eventually he decided to go with Bale. I'm not a fan of the Batman voice but I do like Bale in the Batman/Bruce Wayne role. He didn't have much to do in this movie but I liked how he played off Ledger. Very sad that won't happen again.

Thanks. I loved it. Could Mr. Bale look any hotter? Whether he's the epitome of perfection (at 117 lbs) or a fatty at his normal body weight (180lbs) he's just...dreamy. Great movie. Great direction. Great story. Great style. Loved it all. I can't believe how his character really just pulled me in. Before I knew it, the movie had gone from the 3 minute mark to an hour and a half later. I really lost track of time. Wow. I envy him and that perfect bod he emaciated himself to in order to play the role. I'd definitely recommend this one.
