Saw this on an Imax screen. It was awesome!!! Didn't really like Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel, but the Rachel character sucks in general. Obviously all the
leading males were great: Bale, Ledger, Eckhart, Oldman. But the supporting cast was great, too! Nolan shoots his fight scenes too close for my personal taste,
but I didn't let it bother me too much. The opening scene was amazing on that gigantic screen with the huge speakers.
Will the next villain be Deadshot maybe? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deadshot They've said they don't want to do any villains that we've seen in previous movie installments and I couldn't really find any other suitable villains for Nolan's "realistic" vision. |

There's not a whole lot of villains left that would make sense in Nolan's dark vision. Catwoman would make a good story, if they don't miscast her
with eye candy. Dr. Death or Ducard perhaps. And they can always resurrect Ra's Al-Ghul, and apparently Scarecrow's still around. That's really all
the compelling supervillains that would fit in these movies. I agree offing Two-Face was a mistake.
I'd also like to see the Jason Todd version of Robin, though of course he's killed by Joker so that's a problem, because that role simply cannot be recast. This wasn't Best.Movie.Ever. but it was certainly the best before Oscar season hits, and I'm happy to jump on the Heath Ledger bandwagon because he created a role that will stand along the likes of Doc Holliday and Anton Chigurh. |

I don't think they'd brink back The Scarecrow. I think the reason we saw him get arrested in the beginning of this one was to show that the shit he
pulled was nothing compared to what was coming in the Joker.
I think that the Penguin is not an option. I read somewhere that Nolan thinks that the Penguin isn't that believable as a character and a villain. But, I do believe we'll need a female villain, I'm just concerned that they may choose to go the "sexual attraction" route. Who knows...But they definitely have a challenge ahead of them in making a villain who is just as sinister as The Joker. I actually didn't mind the Two-Face coming and going in this one. It kind of echoed the whole sentiment of the movie, and I think it set the stage for Batman becoming the fugitive. Part three could truly be Batman trying to escape the Mayor and getting back into Gotham's good graces...Obviously, not as simplistic, but still a plot that could be approached. Also, a buddy of mine said that he read somewhere that Nolan would never do a movie with Robin in it...so, I don't foresee it being an option. |

155. i was off by one million.
anyway. yeah it was a good movie. was it great? not really. i wasn't really blown away but still a good movie. i didn't like batman's voice (was it like that in batman begins?) and i found it a little hard to follow. it could have been the fact that an extremely fat man (he was huge!!!!!!!!!!) sat in the seat next to me. his fat literally hung over into my seat. his legs were up in my area and i spent the 2.5 hours trying to stay cool because his body heat was too much. ugh!!! his fat ass munched on popcorn (it would trickle down his rolls and all over the fuckin' place), m&ms and soda throughout the whole movie. what a horrible experience. i still recommend the movie. just don't sit next to fat people. ugh! |

I had a big mouth and his gf three rows behind me. I think they were intentionally trying to be stupid and loud. They talked all throughout the previews,
which isn't supposed to piss me off...but it does. Anyway, they were still talking loud late into the bank robbery scene. I turned around and
"sshhhhed" them twice. The second time, the little prick chuckled. The dude right behind me then got up out of his seat, turned around and told the
prick to "SHUT THE FUCK UP". The prick never said another word. Neither did his stupid gf.

He was part of the first scene, Loki, in the garage. They only showed him spraying the fake Batman and then taking his Scarecrow mask off for two seconds when
Batman had cuffed everyone.
I think I was probably the only person on earth who wasn't in a crowded theater to watch this. Well, me and the other five people in there. I would have surely annoyed the shit out of someone, though. I could not sit still at all for the last hour or so.

Some family brought a baby and a toddler to this movie...what the fuck. The baby was surprisingly qiet, but the toddler wouldn't shut up during crucial
Joker dialogue. I think I heard the mom say "shhh" twice.

Chris Nolan loves Cillian Murphy and there's rumors that he wants to use him in the next one, that is IF he agrees to do the third one.
I just saw it this afternoon. It really lived up to everything I hoped it would be. LOVED it. What's funny is some cable channel was doing a Batman marathon this afternoon and right before I left we watched the Val Kilmer one. Wow, I forgot how much that one blew. It sure made this new one seem even that much better. Heath Ledger was amazing. All the lip smacking and slapping people around at the Harvey Dent fundraiser really made me laugh. |
