I say still have a final 2 but do not have immunity at final 3, of course if there is a tie they could just do a firemaking challenge and the winner would get to vote out someone (like it normally is).

easy to get to top 2 in a game like Survivor, so one way or another every winner's been deserving. Usually we know beforehand who's gonna take the win
simply based on their performances and alliances in the game and there's very rarely been a F2 where either could have taken the win. But there's no
difference with a F3. Lil/Sandra...Rich/Kelly...Colby/Tina...were a few exceptions, where you really couldn't be sure until the final votes were read, but
in most cases, whether it's final 2, 3, 4 or 12...a clearcut winner is apparent.

Final 3 sucks. I loved the final 2, especially when the final endurance challenge didn't heavily favour one body type, and instead was just how bad someone
wanted it. Borneo was classic.

WELL. Changing the show is always a bad idea. The final 3 isn't as bad as the affirmative action casting, since negros < longer final episode, but not
by much. I'm sure CBS reads these boards every day, however, so they probably know what's up and are in the process of changing it.
CSCin3D and I should go on Survivor. We'd be sooooo awesome. We could form the Wir müssen die Juden ausrotten Alliance. Love!

Kirblar wrote: "It's that the F3 challenge determines the winner." And this is a problem because...? Outplay is part of the game and I'd rather see two strong players battling it out on the playing field rather than in front of the jury. The F3 challenge should strictly be a matter of will and determination so that the winner deserves the opportunity to choose. Quiddity wrote: "If you want to be truly fair, make it so there's no immunity challenge at all at F3. All three votes. Whoever gets two votes goes and the other two face the jury. That's the fairest way to go about things." Why rob us of the drama for supposed fairness? Take Borneo: Rudy has 0 chance instead of having the opportunity to win a challenge. I don't see any changes in most seasons either. Only Rob C, Ian and Rafe would've benefited from your solution. They all chose their F3 opponents so they really only have themselves to blame. Rob had a chance to get rid of Jenna at F6, Ian kept Tom also at F6 and Rafe, well we all know what happened to Rafe. What I hate of the F3 is that it favors pagonging. Two members of the majority can't team up with a minority tribe member to improve their positions if they can't get rid of that player at the end.

What I don't understand was that the final 2 goat was finally starting to make a huge impact on the game. We saw it with Shane wanting to take Courtney,
thus Cirie voting Courtney off to prevent the final 2 goat. It was finally starting to make the impact that it should, and so they canned it. LAME.

To be honest I really don't care at all because I enjoy the journey to the end than the end itself. I know for many the end can make or break a season but
reality shows rarely rarely rarely have good endings so whatever - it's still kind of fresh and interesting so I'm for it

I can't say I'm a fan of the Final 3, but I've just about accepted it by this point. Technically, I suppose it's more likely to make for a more
exciting final vote than a Final 2 would be, so that's the little shred of respectability the twist has that I can cling to. Beyond that, it's pretty
much bullshit. The jury starts too early, tradition is ruined, and one of the biggest elements of strong strategic gameplay has been nullified. Plus, we'll
get no more epic final IC's. It's quite sad, really.

All speculation on what Earl "would" have done if it was final 2 is bull crap.
The Twist worked 2 times because the Fiji cast did not know about the final 3 in Cook Islands. They were filming, or actually finished filming before they ever knew about a final 3. Earl was going to the final 3 with cassandra and Yau-man. |

Next season, they should just vote the 1st person off, then have the remaining 15 face the jury of one, who will cast his/her vote for the winner.

I also don't like the fact that some jury members didn't even get the chance to live/interact with a or more members of the final 3. Other than bitter
jurors telling you that so on or so on was a complete c.unt/dick, it seems like you don't have a whole lot of information to base your vote on.

I agree. I will give them snaps for at least having a jury of 7 this time with no pre-merge people.

I did think it was funny that Rebecca had to vote for the winner when she had never even really met any of the F3. I also think it's funny that I remember
who Rebecca is.

LAME.That's actually a really good point. Cirie basically invented the "boot the goat" strategy, and just as it seemed a new great way of playing survivor is about to emerge...CBS screws up and makes it much more difficult. Unfortuantely the Final three is probably here to stay for good. They should really read these boards so they can realize that the screw up of having such a close vote in CI was because they screwed up with the timing of the HII, so then they would realize that people will just bring two goats with them like Earl did in Fiji. |

Agree about the "booting the goat" strategy being interesting. I'm tired of post merge boots always being the biggest physical thrat. Cirie was
one a very few people who understood threats come in different forms than just challenge hogs.

When Amanda wins 7-0-0 over Todd and Courtney, they'll panic and make it Final 4 next season! Trust me, it'll happen! :P
