I worked on this a bit yesterday afternoon and for about 30 minz this morning, I have a ton more to do on it, and I know I suck at matching up the heads, and I actually think I put way too many different head views it it, it needs hella more work as of now, but eh.. |

I don't know what tool you're using, but if you want some ideas on things to polish up the heads some using Photoshop: -feather the edges of the heads more so that they blend nicely with the background layer. You can use the Eraser tool, just pick a brush with a diameter of something like 17 px and a hardness of say maybe 30% and run it around the outside of the perimeter of the head. You just want to erase and of the original head background and thin out the edge pixels of the faces (make them slightly transparent.) -On a dark background like that I like to use the Burn tool to darken up the edges of the faces slightly so they blend better. You can also use the Burn tool with a low opacity setting to darken up one side of the head to make shadows if there is a light to one side.-Use the Hue/Saturation and Contrast/Brightness Adjustment to tune the color to match the scene. I usually start with hue, then saturation, then contrast, then brightness. Sometimes I reat this once or twice more. When adjusting these sliders just swing them back and forth while watching the image. No single slider will make it match, you are just looking for the sweet spot for each thing you adjust. As you go too far away from the sweet spot it will start to look worse, just find the best setting and move on to the next. By the time you get to the last one it will match better. You can repeat to dial it in even further. This helps the faces look less like a feed capture and more like they belong in the picture. But it's great as it is! Nice job! |

I know I have only been a lurker (a faithful lurker for 3 years now) so I have no credibility, but I had to say that man, this thread has been disturbing
lately. The Chop thread has in the past been the fun, friendly purely entertaining place to go and laugh yourself silly. Maybe I missed something but I
don't get the AM hate. He has been around forever entertaining us with his beautiful, insightful, witty and humorous hard work and talent. There are so
many wonderful choppers with so many great ideas and so much talent why does it seem the mood around here is like Highlander or a Gwen Stefani song -
"There can be only one"? Nobody would deny that Blistering is extremely talented and a joy to have
around, but so are so many others, with many different skill levels. I don't pretend to know anything about Blistering but I don't remember him dogging
the other's work, being against giving credit and praise to others or sharing the spotlight. Sucks hate is expected but it would would be a travesty for
any chopper to be discouraged from sharing the fun because it seemed they could never measure up when even someone as cherished and talented as AM is getting
driven away.

If you've been a lurker for 3 years you should know why there is animosity between AM and other choppers. If you want an explanation ask one of them in a
PM.
The chops that were here a day or so ago are gone and for good reason. If AM comes back, fine, but that kind of shit should not be in here (for a number of reasons). Everyone is fine now, so chill out with the rhetoric of 'cherished' and 'driven away'. |

You are right SA, I wasn't on here in time to see exactly what the posts that were taken down were. I was just getting discouraged at all the words and
hating each other and I shouldn't have just assumed anyone was innocent. The chop thread is gold when it is more chops and less rhetoric no matter whose
rhetoric it is.

Ginger,
I think the reason the chops thread is slow right now is because of the lackluster season. I just think fewer people are intersted in chopping these HG's at this point. I don't think choppers are being discourged, they just aren't intersted right now. Hopefully in summer when we have a new cast things will pick up. For myself, the more the merrier. You can never have too many chops. ETA: And thanks for the compliements by the way!
