Thoughts during the episode
-Heh, Aras and Alexis lost the chicken, just what they needed.

-So the majority, that has yet to catch food from what I remember, decides to starve the outsiders, who have Aras who potentially could catch food and starve them, the irony of it.

-That plan Brooke's group has wouldn't work in the real survivor at auctions. They forbid the survivors from sharing things they buy, unless they bid together on it. Jonathan got in trouble in the real survivor for sharing some of his food with Yul and Becky.

-What the heck? Why did people in Brooke's alliance throw so much money into the pots of Aras' group? They have only half as much money as they started with now.
-Oh the HII, I forgot about that, but still it was dumb to place that much money in their bottles, like $300 bucks in Aras by some people I saw.

I realized later on that I forgot to have Jeff give a "reminder" that there was yet another hidden Immunity Idol on Exile. This is what made the money distribution complicated though because you had to decide what was worse: Aras potentially going to Exile and getting the HII or winning all kinds of food? And you had to try and think what everyone else would do, which is why some people gave him those high amounts. I actually went through person by person and tried to think of who they would really give their money to and wrote it all out on a piece of paper and then added up the totals, so those weren't just random totals that I came up with.

-Ha, boy did that backfire on Brooke's group for getting food. And now they realize Aras' group hid the food, this is a great episode so far.

Yep, and Tracy/Mikey got nothing...

-Darn, Aras is probably going home now, unless something really crazy happens, which I doubt it will.

Sorry it was predictable at the end. I knew you would be disappointed with the outcome.

It was pretty entertaining overall, though of course had a disappointing and obvious ending. I loved all of the drama, and the whole hiding the food thing. It was also great to see Brooke's group's plan backfire at the auction when they gave Aras over a thousand dollars. The drama definitely made up for the obvious ending of the episode.

Thanks. Glad you thought it was a fairly entertaining episode, although I expected the outcome to be pretty predictable and disappointing for some people. I enjoyed the auction plan backfiring too - it was good to show that you can't always predict exactly everything that's going to happen in the game. You have to be able to adapt. Good to hear that the drama made up for the predictability.

Excellent job on those Edgic ratings. They're all very close to what I was going for. The only one I would disagree with is Eliza - I think she should have been OTTN, and I would also give Tracy a CP for her plans and strategizing rather than just a MOR.

Great job on those Contenders / Eliminated lists as well! Only two-ish more weeks before we'll find out for sure how it all turns out.

I was so excited to get back from vacation to see a new episode. This definitely lived up to your high standards, as usual. I liked the episode as a whole. Aras was a very cool, relatable character I thought and I would have loved to see Alexis go before him. Other than that, great resolution to his storyline. This whole story I've loved the Brooke-Eliza-Tracy alliance but I did find myself rooting for Aras and Mary (and to a lesser extent, Alexis). I thought the hiding of the food was justified after Eliza made the comment. It was one of the first times I'd found myself disagreeing with or disliking an opinion of Eliza's. As of now, I'd love to see Alexis go next. I've personally found that Mary Who has grown on me over the season.

Alexis getting owned at the auction by the double cheese-burgers. And Brooke finding the idol. While it doesn't seem that spectacular, it could set up this endgame very nicely.

Given his reasoning for voting out Jason, I think one of two things will happen in Mikey's story. He'll either go on an immunity run and win every challenge from now until the end, or he'll have underestimated his opponents and the women will win every challenge.

Thanks for posting that speculation - both of those are likely scenarios. I think there's not many things left that haven't happened at one time or another, so there's only a few possible choices. The episode is coming along pretty well (although for some reason the challenges are longer this time)! Hope you all enjoy it! :)

I'm not sure if this has been done in your fanfics or not, but how about a surprise double boot episode that is post-merge? I always thought that would be interesting.
I'm looking foward to the next episode! :)
