I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. I liked the episode but I think Ace left prematurely, just like Corinne (I didn't comment last episode because I was really upset with corinne leaving.. and Marcus) Thanks. Glad to hear that you liked the episode. Really sorry about Corinne leaving - I know you were a big fan of her, just like Ami last season. At least Corinne lasted 2 episodes longer. I think you're right that it may have been a bit premature for Ace. I remember in my planning that I strongly considered eliminating him at Final Seven. It just seemed like his story was running out, though, and I'm not too sure how I would have fit him into the story of the next two episodes. Ace's really arrogant, so it was nice to see him going home with the two idols Thanks. The idols aren't dead, though, which makes for some good drama in the episodes coming up. (C) What would you rate this episode out of 10? (1 being the lowest; 10 being the highest) 7 Okay, thank you. Hoping for a little higher next time. :) Thanks for your Ep 10 predictions, and for filling out the Popularity Poll. A great variety of high and low numbers there. (B) Who do you NOT want to see as the Sole Survivor? GC! and Dan! Judging by this and the 0s you gave them, you must have a strong dislike for G.C. and Dan! I won't be doing edgic because I think I lost he track, but my contenders right now would be: 1- Charlie; 2- Dan; 3- GC. I don't think Randy has a real shot on it. I would love to see Jacquie winning but I don't think it'll happen unless you're throwing a Bob on us... Paloma and Crystal are completely eliminated in my book, and Ken is very close to that spot (I think I had him and Jacquie eliminated before last episode) That's fine. I recorded your Contenders list, so I'll still include those votes. This was planned out before Bob, so if someone unconventional wins, it wouldn't be based on that. It would be an attempt to make a less obvious winner after Tracy in Micronesia, but not influenced by Bob. Still, it could happen. Thanks again for your comments, Brazil Luvs Ami. It's great to still have you reading along, and I apologize again about the loss of Corinne and Ace in back to back episodes. A clip of the eight remaining Babongo members returning back to their camp is then shown> Ken: Wow, I didn't see that coming. <G.C. is heard saying "sorry, bro" as the castaways can be seen throwing their torches in random places, in hopes a member of the opposing alliance will trip over one in the night and be medivaced> G.C. - CONFESSIONAL: I'm so glad Ace is gone! <Crystal is shown smiling> Ace was almost as bad as Matty. Except Matty didn't have two idols. <laughs> <Randy is shown fuming> Randy: Everyone who voted for Ace should jump off a cliff.<the noise of a gong is heard, as Charlie, shocked, mouths "oh my god"> Randy - CONFESSIONAL: Frankly, everyone who voted for Ace is dead to me. <Randy is shown angrily kicking a rock> And I don't mean that metaphorically, I mean I want them all dead.<G.C. and Ken are now shown talking away from camp> G.C.: Sorry about that dude, we just had to do it. <Ken nods> Ken: No, no, I totally understand, but, like, are we still cool? G.C.: Of course we're cool, man, we're cool to the end! <The two bump fists, but G.C. suddenly pulls away as his body begins to vibrate, and light begins to shine down on him from the sky> Ken: What the hell, man? <G.C. screams as his whole body pulsates, and the light coming down on him begins to lift his feet up from the ground. Ken moves as if to pull G.C. back down, but he is thrown back. A view of camp is now shown, where the same thing is happening to Crystal> Paloma Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god! <Randy is shown smiling while watching Crystal, while Jacquie's jaw is hanging open. Crystal flies off the ground and into the skies, until she and the light are no longer visible. Ken is now shown alone, lying against a tree, the same thing having seemingly happened there as well. Camp is now shown again> Dan.: What happened?! <Ken comes running, screaming "G.C. just ascended to the heavens or something!"> Jacquie: Let's just all go to sleep, maybe they'll be back in the morning. <shaken, a few people nod, and the screen fades out> Babongo Tribe - Day 25 <An African chant is heard, as the camera shows a view of the red-orange sun rising over the vast grassland. The camera now shows an elephant and hippo ballroom dancing, before fading out to show the Babongo tribe's flag. Several castaways are shown curled in fetal positions, before the camera zooms in on Paloma, whose eyes widen> Paloma: Is that Jeff? <Jeff Probst is shown jogging towards the Babongo camp, and a few castaways are heard saying "it is Jeff!"> Charlie: Hiya Jeff! <Jeff smiles> Jeff Probst: Hi guys, I've got some news for you. <Dan is shown concerned> Last night, G.C. and Crystal became perfect beings and ascended to a higher plane. So they have both left the game. Congratulations, final 6! <Randy pumps his fist and shouts "YES!"> Randy - CONFESSIONAL: I hated those pieces of [censored]. <Ken is shown, looking broken, almost crying> Good riddance. Anything will help and will be greatly appreciated! COMMENTS & QUESTIONS (A) What did you think of this episode? Please be as detailed as you can, wherever possible. I thought it was a great episode and a really nice return from a long hiatus! I compare it to Episode 8 of Tocantins, where two very big characters (Ace and Brendan) left in blindsides due to betrayal in their alliance. As much as I love the Evil alliance (the Good alliance is just too boring for me), it was nice to see them squabble a little and to see GC finally get a little character development in realizing the mistake he made in joining up with them. The Reward looked like a lot of fun; I wish I could've gone on it! Also interesting to compare GC and Sundra from your Cook Islands fanfic; two people who won the challenge and were considered popular, even from the opposite alliance. Will GC get further than 4th? We'll have to see. Also, Ace getting James'd was a bit predictable, but still nice to see. Now the idols are back out there to hopefully get played! (B) What was your overall favorite part of the episode? GC's epiphany/fight with Randy. (C) What would you rate this episode out of 10? (1 being the lowest; 10 being the highest) I'd give it a 9.5. As you'll see, it has some eerily strange similarities to the episode that was just on - I'll post them all in a note. But I think Charlie, Dan, Paloma = Stephen, JT, Taj. It's pretty much the exact same dynamic with them being an obvious three, and Charlie has the strong ties to both Dan/Paloma (like JT and Taj), Dan is the more physical threat like JT, and then Paloma is kindof the sidekick like Taj is. Very interesting...

I'll agree on the "Good Alliance" being a little boring. People like Crystal and Randy definitely keep things interesting. Glad you liked the Reward too - I've tried to pick Rewards that focus a lot on the culture of Africa and things like that. Interesting point to raise about GC/Sundra - I did not think about that.
