Good episode, I thought. It's great to have you back. I always enjoy a good blindside, but I was disappointed Ace was the victim. With both Corinne and Ace now gone, I have to look to Randy to step into the villain role. After the GC/Jacque controversy, I was hoping for Randy/Crystal to turn the vote on him. I'll rate it a 10 for your poll (even though I'm not filling out the whole thing, I want to help counteract the bad reviews it's getting). I really liked Ace, but it was his time to go, I was actively rooting for the powerhouse. Mostly because of Palomagoddess and Jacquie Randomness. I'm really growing to like Dan's dorky character. Ken needs to go, he's the most boring character left. I think G.C. and Crystal made the right choice. Obviously they were on the outside of the alliance and now they can maybe work on Jacquie. Then, after Randy's gone, those three and Ken can take out the super likable Charlie and Dan. Ken won't have any other options, and Jacquie should realize she'll never beat the other three. GC's already working on her.

I don't really care if it was a blunder for GCrystal, I didn't really like the Fang alliance that much except for them. I am really happy that Jacquie wasn't booted. I enjoyed reading them, and you brought up some very interesting points. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts! I liked the episode a lot. The interior workings of the Fang alliance were really interesting, as was the behavior of them (not interacting with the minority alliance seems like a bad idea). I have always loved the coconut-chop style challenges, and this one was really interesting. I actually like boring Kota more than Fang, so I was glad that they were able to pull off the blindside and remove both idols from the game. Thank you. I'm glad to see you liked the episode and that you found the Fang dynamics and the Reward Challenge to be interesting. Also good to know that someone else is a fan of Kota, even though I definitely agree they're more boring overall. 9.5 Thanks for the 9.5. Every little rating is slowly helping to bring the average up, so I'm happy about that. Thank you for your predictions for Ep 10 and for filling out the Popularity Poll. A great mix of high and low numbers, and I'm glad to see the 10s for D/C/P. (C) Do you have any other predictions for Episode 10? No more idols The idol(s) is/are going to be rehidden, so they aren't completely out of the game. But I promise they are going to bring some new and very interesting moments/strategy to the game. Thanks for your Edgic ratings - great job on all of them. They're very close to what I had in mind for this episode. And thanks for your Contenders / Eliminated lists too. Interesting that you eliminated everyone except Charlie and Dan. Also, some thematic stuff. It's interesting that one of the first themes that was introduced was the idea of unity, and that Fang is now losing because they couldn't stay unified. Charlie was the one who introduced this theme, but Dan was the one to really press it as the tribe's leader. I think that we are going to have a Charlie/Dan F2, because they will be the only ones to stay unified. Paloma was the one who got revenge for Ace stealing her idol, but that probably means that Ken will get revenge back, as well as revenge on GC/Crystal for flipping. I like all of those ideas. A Charlie v. Dan Final Two would be really interesting, and it would be like having Stephen v. JT in the real show of Tocantins, I think. Unity is definitely a reoccurring concept that has had the most importance for Dan's character, I would say. Very insightful of you to notice it. Revenge is going to come up a lot over the next episode(s) and it will mostly revolve around one person. Thanks again for all of your comments, menelaus. I really appreciate it! The controversy with GC was not just about the Jacquie thing - I would say that was only a small part of it. It was just him, in general, interacting a lot with the members of Kota. Thanks for rating it a 10 - that has definitely helped with the average. It's really only gotten 2 "bad reviews," and the rest have mostly been in the 9 range, which is good. Glad that you were rooting for the Powerhouse though, over Ace. That was the intent of the editing, for sure. There will be more randomness from Jacquie and Paloma to come. I think Ken will finally become un-boring next episode. It might be too late for him though. I like your predictions for the rest of the season, and I think it would be interesting to see those groups come together. We'll see how it plays out... Sorry to see that you also had a hard time getting into it - I hope next week's will be different. I don't know why, but I didn't really enjoy it at all. Hmm, I think it may be partly due to the outcome because I know from your Popularity ratings that you've been a fan of Ace, so I think it has something to do with him being eliminated. Therefore, I hope that someone who you don't like as much goes next time. (B) What was your overall favorite part of the episode? The end? Fair enough. (C) What would you rate this episode out of 10? (1 being the lowest; 10 being the highest) 6 Okay, thanks for the 6. I'm glad it wasn't a 1, so I appreciate that. :) Why did the flippers flip? Crystal and G.C. flipped because they felt, Crystal especially, that she would be 5th place in the alliance, (She didn't know that G.C. had a F3 alliance with Randy/Ken) and that Ace would be able to use both of his idols to ensure that he got into the Final Three. He could have eliminated Crystal at 5 with an idol and G.C. at 4. G.C. flipped more because of feeling disillusioned from the alliance, especially from Randy and Ace, who were getting pretty cocky. He's still friends with Kenny though. Probably, GC and Crystal acted a little too fast. They could have got rid of Dan and then made a switch at F8, or even Final Seven. Let's say that Fang stuck together and voted out Dan and Charlie. Then at F7, Crystal, G.C., Jacquie, and Paloma could have joined up to boot A/R/K, since that would probably blindside Ace too. Did you consider that scenario? OZ Keeper also brought up this same scenario, and yes, I definitely considered it because this is the situation that happened in Episode 2 between Susie and Crystal. The only advantage to this would be it would save Dan. Ace would stay in the game with one idol. This was a possibility, but I wouldn't have had room to write it into the episode even if I wanted to, so if it happened, it wouldn't have really mattered since Ace didn't play the idol. There would be a 3-way tie with Ace, Randy, and Dan not voting, and then Ace would have been voted out 5-1. If this scenario happened, it would have been D/C/P voting Randy on their own to protect Dan without telling Crystal, G.C., or perhaps even Jacquie. But it's very risky gameplay and as much as I'd like to try different strategies in my fanfics, it's probably more risky than players would really attempt on the real show. PALOMA This is interesting because you almost have to disregard her first four episodes entirely, but I did offer an explanation as to why her edit was like this at the beginning, so it would certainly be something different for a winner. It seems so unnecessary if he doesn't at least make the finale, and if he makes the finale, he's got a good shot to win.
