Fang Tribe - Night 8

<An infrared view of the moon is shown, as dark clouds can be seen shifting in front of it. A clip of several trees rustling is then shown, as an elephant walks by and scrapes against them. The camera cuts ahead to show a close-up view of the Fang tribe's flag, before switching angles to show the eight remaining castaways returning back to their camp>

Ace: Well, that was bloody brutal… <The infrared camera then scrolls over to Dan>

Dan: Oh man, that sucked… <Dan can then be seen setting his torch up against Fang's hut>

Dan - CONFESSIONAL: Fang had our first Tribal Council tonight because we lost today's Immunity Challenge, and Michelle went home. <Ace is shown crouched down by the fire pit, as he strikes the flint and a fire ignites> I mean, it was a no-brainer, for me, but <long pause> Paloma and Charlie were both able to put a vote towards Gillian to, um, keep our alliance hidden, <The camera now turns to Gillian> so <pause> from a strategic standpoint, I'd say the night worked out very, very well… <laughs> <The camera shows a clip of an excited Charlie and Paloma standing together next to the side of the hut and 'dancing'>

Paloma: <to Charlie> We got another three days in the jungle! <laughs> <Charlie now nods>

Dan - CONFESSIONAL: Right now, I think the tribe is in complete disarray given some of the things that were said at Tribal, <Corinne can now be seen tending to the fire> but <long pause> I definitely think we can recover, <The camera then scrolls over to Ace again> you know, if we put a bandage on some of the hurt feelings and emotions and move forward, um, as a team. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the infrared camera shows a close-up view of the Fang tribe's fire flickering, and then scrolls over to Corinne>

Corinne: I want you guys to know, like, everything that was said about me at Tribal, I'm gonna take it to heart. <A thoughtful-looking Gillian is shown, as she subtly nods> I'm not gonna take anything personally, you know, <The camera then scrolls across several Fang members> and I don't want you guys to think like "Oh, she's gonna be a bitch to me because I said [inaudible]…" <The infrared camera now zooms in on Ken>

Ken: <to Corinne> I thought you were gonna do that… <Corinne is now shown looking up>

Corinne: I would never; no… <The camera continues to focus on Corinne for a few seconds>

Corinne - CONFESSIONAL: At Tribal tonight, Jeff asked Gillian something about me and I was told that I should be more nice; <A rapid clip of Gillian is shown> um, I was grumpy in the mornings; I complain too much; I'm sorry! If the rice is mushy, you will hear about it; <Another wide view of several Fang members is shown> um, <pause> just a laundry list of things of how Corinne can be a better person. I am furious! <The infrared camera returns to Corinne>

Corinne: But Ken, like, <pause> I have to say: I stood up for you to Michelle and then you threw me under the bus at Tribal… <The camera shows Ken with an uneasy look on his face>

Ken: <to Corinne> How did I throw you under the bus?! <Corinne is then shown again>

Corinne: <mocking tone> "Yeah, Jeff; um, I understand exactly where Gillian's coming from about Corinne…" <Ken says something inaudible, as the camera continues to show Corinne>

Corinne - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> There is no way I'm gonna change anything about myself because some hundred year-old lady and a 22 year-old kid who lives in his parents' basement think I should be more nice. <The camera focuses in on Gillian> You don't get through life by being nice. If you don't like me, tough. <Another view of Gillian is shown>

Gillian: <to Corinne> Hell, I'm not afraid to say it; <short pause> I am a nice person, and it's been 61 years and it hasn't failed me yet… <Corinne is then shown with an expressionless look on her face, as there is an extended silence>

Corinne: But whatever; <long pause> I am so glad Michelle's gone, I don't want to ruin my night. <A side view of Dan is then shown, as he turns towards Corinne>

Dan: <jokingly> You love us Corinne… <laughs> <The infrared camera now shows Randy>

Randy: She does and she just doesn't know it yet… <Another view of Corinne is shown next>

Corinne - CONFESSIONAL: I am through with these people. All of them except Ace. <A clip of a snake slithering along the ground is shown, before the camera turns to Ace> I'll get my revenge on this tribe somehow… <There is a prominent drumbeat, as the screen fades out>

Kota Tribe - Day 9

<An eerie music plays, as a silhouetted view of several trees is shown and the sun can be seen rising in the dull morning sky. An elephant can now be seen swimming through a shallow lake, before the camera shows a hippo opening its mouth widely, and then cuts ahead to show a clip of Crystal stealthily walking through a grassy area>

Crystal - CONFESSIONAL: Right now, everybody's targeting me, so I am stuck between a rock and a hard place: <Crystal is then shown at the tribe's treemail basket, as she crouches down and looks under it> I'm just kinda laying low and trying not to get any attention on me. <A close-up view of Crystal standing at the water well is then shown> I definitely want to try to blend in, but I mean, the damage is already done because of my alliance with Sue, so <short pause> there's nothing I can do about it now except play the game… <The camera now shows a clip of a watchful Crystal walking along a jungle path, as she looks around>

Crystal: <talking aloud> Where the [censored] is the idol?! <Crystal is shown again>

Crystal - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I'm not gonna stop lookin' for the idol if I have to tear the whole camp down! <laughs> <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows a close-up view of the Kota tribe's flag, and then turns to show several castaways sitting around the fire. Crystal is now shown returning back to camp, before the camera turns to Marcus>

Marcus: Why don't we see what the chef has served up? <Another view of Crystal is shown>

Crystal: Who's hungry? Breakfast, anybody? Food? <Crystal can then be seen removing the lid from the pot of rice, before the camera turns to Sugar>

Sugar: That looks good! <The camera then scrolls over to an uninterested Matty>

Matty - CONFESSIONAL: Today's Day Nine, and <pause> surprise, surprise, we're all starving. <laughs> You know, we won blankets at the last Reward Challenge, <Sugar can be seen wrapping herself in a blanket, as she sits down on a log> but the only thing we have for food is rice, man. It's dire; <laughs> it's a dire situation right now, dude… <A close-up view of an expressionless Matty is shown, as he stares into the distance>

Matty: God, our camp is filthy; <short pause> what a giant mess… <Crystal can be seen shifting her expression, before the camera goes back to Matty>

Matty - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I feel like I'm starting to lose my spirit, you know? It's not a pleasant way to spend your time out here. <A comical music begins to play, as the camera shows a clip of a chimpanzee perched high up in a tree, and then cuts ahead to show Crystal and Jacquie both walking in a jungle area>

Jacquie: <to Crystal> He knows he's all alone and he's close to going… <Crystal is shown>

Crystal: <to Jacquie> You think he knows? <The camera then focuses back in on Jacquie>

Jacquie: <to Crystal> Like, ever since Kelly was gone, he's been downward spiraling… <The camera now shows another view of a thoughtful-looking Crystal>

Crystal - CONFESSIONAL: Matty is driving me insane, okay; <short pause> I have not seen Matty do anything except open his stupid mouth and say "I'm hungry; I'm hungry." <The camera shows a close-up view of Matty, as he gazes ahead> He just lies in his bed until you prepare him his meal; you feed it to him; <short pause> you know, I mean, you practically have to shovel it into his mouth for him! It's like, damn, you know, he should be strong… <The camera then cuts back to an expressionless Matty, who is sitting by the fire>

Matty: <talking aloud> I don't even have the energy anymore… <Marcus is then shown>

Marcus: <to Matty> Why do you think your energy's so low? <Matty can be seen shrugging carelessly, as he looks up and the camera zooms in on him>

Matty: <to Marcus> I just feel depressed, dude… <Marcus is shown again>

Marcus - CONFESSIONAL: Matty is a huge pain in the ass; <short pause> he's always been a pain in the ass; <Matty subtly shakes his head, as he stares into the distance> and I see him continuing to be a pain in the ass, <Matty then says "I can't eat this, bro"> and I mean, if that's the case, then I'd rather keep Crystal around because Matty's just being a drain, you know, on the team instead of somebody who's helping us. <A spooky music begins to play, as the camera shows Sugar scooping rice out of the pot and then turns to Matty>

Matty: Okay; <short pause> this is my opinion, and I'm not trying to single you guys out, <A close-up view of G.C. is shown, before Matty points to Jacquie and Sugar> but it makes no sense to me why I would get the same amount of food as Sugar or Jacquie. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as Jacquie shifts her expression> I mean, you guys need us to stay strong to win challenges: <short pause> me, Marcus, and Crystal… <An uneasy Marcus is shown puffing out his cheeks, before the camera turns to Jacquie>

Jacquie: We all need to stay strong, Matty! <The camera then cuts back to Matty again>

Matty: <to Jacquie> No, but like, you might feel full from eating these small portions, but I don't feel full and it's miserable… <Sugar is then shown raising her eyebrows>

Sugar: <to Matty> I definitely don't feel full, <laughs> so… <There is an awkward silence, as the camera shows the seven Kota members and Matty says "I don't know what to do">

Jacquie - CONFESSIONAL: Matty lives in Mattyland. I mean, we all feel hungry and we've all had those moments where we feel tired and weak. <The camera continues to focus on an expressionless Matty> And just because I have a smaller body weight doesn't mean I require less food. I mean, I've been working my butt off… <The camera now shows a clip of G.C., Jacquie, and Crystal walking through the grassland together>

Jacquie: Matty does nothing! Matty's not even attempting to find food… <Crystal is shown>

Crystal: <to Jacquie> He's a gym rat, that's the problem. <Jacquie can be heard saying "Yeah!"> Those are not working muscles, okay?! Those are pretty boy muscles, <long pause> and why are you here if you're just gonna eat our food? <The camera now zooms in on G.C.>

G.C.: <to Crystal> I'm not gonna put up with that, man. <Crystal is then shown again>

Crystal - CONFESSIONAL: The people who are actually making an effort to get food should get more, <The camera shows a clip of Marcus and Bob picking a Gabonese pear> and that's the way I'm gonna look at it. If I'm gonna give myself a couple extra grains of rice, damn, I deserve it, because I've been out there lookin' for fruit. <Jacquie is now shown>

Jacquie: There has to be something… <The camera focuses back in on Crystal again>

Crystal - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> I've been out lookin' for fruit with G.C. and with Jacquie. Matty does nothing, okay?! <Matty is then shown lying down in Kota's hut> He just doesn't get it. He's gonna end up going home if he doesn't change himself… <There is a prominent drumbeat, as the camera shows another close-up view of a detached Matty staring into the distance, before the screen gradually fades out>

Fang Tribe - Day 9

<'Road You On' plays, as the camera shows a close-up view of the backside of Fang's hut. A side view of the tribe's red boat floating in the shallow lake waters is shown, before the camera cuts ahead to show Fang's flag. Charlie and Paloma are then shown standing in front of their tribemates with a catalogue and a treemail message>

Paloma: <talking loudly> We got some mail! <Dan is shown sitting on a log beside Gillian, as he says "Read, read, read." The camera then focuses back in on Charlie>

Charlie: Okay; here we go. You guys ready?! <Charlie now begins to read the message aloud>

Charlie: It says: Pick three choices for your Reward;

The three you must desire.

If you win, you'll take them all.

Lose, and life gets more dire.

<Excited cheers can be heard, as the camera scrolls across several upbeat Fang members>

Charlie - CONFESSIONAL: This morning, we got treemail and it was a Survivor Catalogue, <A close-up view of a page with a kitchen set on it is shown> which is one of the most exciting things we've seen in nine days, <laughs> so <pause> we are gonna have a really fun time fantasizing about all the fun stuff that we could win… <The camera abruptly cuts ahead to show the entire Kota tribe gathered together in a group, and then zooms in on Jacquie>

Jacquie: We get three choices… <The camera shows Sugar flipping through the catalogue>

Sugar: <reading aloud> Wine, cheese, and crackers; toiletries… <A close-up view of a page in the catalogue with a sewing kit on it is shown, before the camera turns to G.C.>

G.C.: All we have is rice, <Crystal can be seen nodding> so we definitely wanna think about gettin' some food… <A side view of Matty is then shown, as he nods dramatically>

Matty: I want the milk and cookies, dude. <The camera switches angles to show G.C. again>

G.C. - CONFESSIONAL: Treemail came this morning, so <pause> for the Kota tribe, we got to pick two things that we definitely need around camp, <The camera shows G.C. circling 'fishing gear' on the parchment> which is the fishing gear and the spices <Jacquie can be heard saying "I'm excited [inaudible] spices"> cause our rice does not taste good, <laughs> and then we picked one thing that everybody wanted, which is the potatoes… <A wide view of all seven Kota members gathered around their hut is then shown next>

Marcus: Potatoes, I think, is probably gonna be a large amount. <Bob says something inaudible> Plus there's so many ways you can cook them. <Bob is now shown>

Bob: <to Marcus> Yeah; you don't just have to boil them… <Matty is then shown frowning>

G.C. - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Even though it's not, you know, milk and cookies, there's all kinds of things you can do with potatoes, man, <Marcus now says "We can cut 'em into french fries if we want"> and we're trying to think towards the end of the game… <A comical music then begins to play, as the camera cuts back to the Fang tribe's main camp area, and then zooms in on Corinne, who is flipping through the catalogue>

Corinne: Mosquito nets?! <A rapid clip of Dan is shown> The thought of having a mattress instead of sleeping on the ground?! <The camera now switches angles to show Ace>

Ace: <to Charlie> Okay; <short pause> so put down blankets, pillows, mattress, and then put mosquito nets. <Several Fang members can now be seen exchanging glances>

Charlie - CONFESSIONAL: Ace, from the very first moment I met him, has been very bossy. He's really condescending and really controlling, <The camera turns back to Ace> and <pause> it's definitely starting to get under my skin a little… <laughs> <Paloma is shown>

Paloma: <to Ace> But I'm just thinking, like, what about something to eat? Because we're not that uncomfortable… <The camera then switches angles to show a surprised Corinne>

Corinne: <to Paloma> We're not that uncomfortable?! <A close-up view of Dan is shown next>

Dan: We could have everyone say, like, their top three… <Corinne is now shown again>

Corinne: I'm not changing my vote. <Charlie is shown with a subtle smirk on his face>

Charlie - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Corinne as well. You know, people were really rubbed the wrong way by Michelle, but I think people are starting to see what Randy said at Tribal, <Randy is shown with an expressionless look on his face> which is that Michelle and Corinne are really the same way… <A wide view of both Ace and Ken is shown next>

Ken: We should put chocolate cake; <short pause> that's gotta be big enough for eight of us…

Ace: <to Ken> But how are you gonna have cake without milk? <Ken is then shown again>

Ken: <to Ace> Well, anybody who wants milk, vote for cookies and milk then… <The camera shows a wide view of the entire Fang tribe, as indistinct conversation is heard. Randy is then shown with a frustrated look on his face, as he subtly shakes his head>

Randy: Alright; I'm done with you people. <Dan is now shown> Figure something out, and then let me know what it is… <The camera then switches angles to show Corinne again>

Corinne: Let's just put peanut butter and bread. <The camera shows Charlie looking up> At least with bread it lasts longer… <Ace can then be seen staring ahead>

Ace: <to Charlie> Okay; that's fine, so put peanut butter and bread. <The camera focuses back in on Charlie, as he circles 'peanut butter and bread' on the piece of parchment>

Charlie - CONFESSIONAL: It's blatantly clear that Ace has been posturing for the lead and trying to consolidate as much power as he can at camp, <Ace is now shown again> and Ace and Corinne may be able to get their way over a catalogue, but at Tribal Council, their votes count just as much as everyone else's, <long pause> and they're two votes… <The camera shows a view of the entire Fang tribe, before the screen fades out>
