Hi guatemala fanfic - I am just getting into your fanfics for the first time. I read Guatemala within about a 48 hour period and really enjoyed it. I'm in
the midst of reading Panama (just finished episode 6) and it is another great season. However, I already know who won because I accidently scrolled past the
winner banner. Would it be possible to PM me the links to episodes for Cook Islands and subsequent seasons so I can avoid the spoilers? Thank you, and you do a
really excellent job with these fan fics.

Well GF I never did any edgic ratings because I didn't really understand how to rate the players and wanted to avoid screwing up and/or putting my own personal opinions into how they are meant to be perceived, plus I basically never really cared. However I think now I might try after episode 3 to see how I do. (I would try the latest episode but I've read so many other's ratings that I wouldn't be able to come up with my own)Thanks J Daviau. And there are no right or wrong ratings, so it really doesn't matter if yours are a little bit different than other people's. I'm sure you'll learn very fast and you'll get better every week with a little bit of practice. Tropical rain: First off, I would like to say that episode two is normally one of my favorite, if not my favorite, episode. Normally tops that episode is when the tribes switch and the alliances form again! There's just something exciting to me about alliances. XDSometimes I look forward to Episode 2s of the real show more than the premiere, so I guess I always like them too, or at least I hope to like them. Some of them haven't been that great, but I just always have a hard time writing the second episode. You're right about them usually having alliances though, so I guess that's part of why you like them so much. And I love love love the Charlie (I keep on wanting to call him Claire for some reason...), Dan, and Paloma alliance. Great idea. :)Glad you like this group together - I know Dan and Paloma were two of your preshow favorites, so I'm not too surprised. Finally, I love reading your notes at the end of the episode. If it were up to me, keep them coming! :)Yes, I will keep them coming. tropical rain and Hijojo: Back on track... I truthfully did not see Gillian as a really visible character this episode. I saw her as more hidden, with a few moments scattered throughout... That's where the UTR comes in. She did have a more complex moment when she realized how she messed up about the fish... meaning a CP. Then there were those moments that she was the center of attention for a short period of time... Or OTT. UTR+CP+OTT=MOR. I thought we were supposed to feel sorry for her, but realize that she is older and making big mistakes. That's why I was thinking mixed as a rating. Therefore, I decided MORM would be best! Thanks. That makes sense, and I can definitely understand where you see aspects of different edits coming into play. I think, as Hijojo said... That's what I originally what I had for Gillian, but after re-reading it, I thought that OTTP was a better choice. I felt that her actions with the reward were portrayed as "understandable" (at least from what I saw, I could see her argument) and then they led to the very P scenes of her being glad that she helped her tribe win immunity....that the confessional at the end of the Immunity Challenge where she wanted to help her tribe win Immunity sortof summed up her edit, and in that way, it seems simplified. Yes, she had one line about realizing her mistake over the fish, but the whole scene was pretty one-note to me in that she felt excluded and didn't want to participate in the Reward. Anyways, that rating is still up for grabs, but looking at the submitted ratings, it seems that OTTP will probably be the consensus. Tacobellcanon: I understand why you would write them, and I'm not necessarily saying that it's a bad idea that you do, but maybe hide them under a spoiler cut? Personally, I don't want to read the notes until after the season is finished. I think the notes are probably as close to spoilers as we can get for your fanfic, and I'm a diehard spoiler-free fan. I really do like reading the thought process behind your decisions, though ... but not during the fanfic original run.Sure, I will hide them in spoiler next from now on. That's no problem at all. You're right that sometimes I do mention things specifically to watch out for, and those could be considered minor spoilers. Good point. So I will hide them for those who do not want to read them. And I agree with you on one thing: I strongly dislike spoilers too! muskger99: Hi guatemala fanfic - I am just getting into your fanfics for the first time. Hello Brazil Luvs Ami! Thank you very much for your comments on the episode. I appreciate you taking the time to share
your thoughts, and I enjoyed reading what you had to say.
I really liked it, but I think there was too much attention on Dan, I know he's probably one end-gamer, and maybe the hero winner, but we could hear more of the others.. It's all about him all the time... And he's so boring....Thanks. Glad you liked the episode, although I'm sorry about the Dan overload. He's surprisingly visible again in the next episode (I didn't think he'd have as much as he did), but I promise that you'll get to see more of a lot of different characters, including Corinne, so hopefully it will be okay. I hope he isn't boring though! Ace telling that he doesn't trust lawyers. I hope he backstab those two...I see you like to root for the villains over the "heroes." Well, the villains probably are more interesting in the long run. Thanks. I'm fine with that. Hopefully you like the next episode more. Thank you for your predictions (great winner picks) and for filling out the Popularity Poll! Corinne - 10! (Okay I love her even when she's INV)Sorry about her being INV1. You'll definitely see a lot more of her soon. Thank you very much for those excellent Edgic ratings. Like always, they are very close to what I was intending, and I'm impressed by them. Also, great Contenders lists. Those are certainly four good choices, as of right now. I look forward to seeing if your thoughts change with the episodes to come. Thanks again for you comments, Brazil Luvs Ami. It's great to have you reading again this season. Hope you enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! :) |

COMMENTS & QUESTIONS
This episode was really good, but it wasn't as good as the first episode(but the premire is always great) I really liked how things are starting to mold
like, how people are starting to make aliances and build bonds. The Dan, Charlie, Paloma aliance is ok, I like Charlie's character way more, but I agree
with brazil Luvs Ami, he is really boring and I would like to see Jacquie more (there was always something about her that I really liked)
Susie's constant fear of the wilderness was really funny and Susie getting voted off was also one of my favorite parts.
8.5
No, not really.Sorry.
It's gotta be Dan or maybe Charlie if it's not a Fang member it's Crystal
Ken
Michelle -I bet she finds the Idol
Crystal's immunity Idol search continues. Because of Michelle, Crystal gets bitchy and annoys her tribe. Fang Loses Immunity. The Powerhouse aliance falls apart before Tribal Council because of Ace and Corrine
-I'm just gonna take a try, don't really use this but tell me if it's good or not.

Hi Mr X819! Thank you very much for your comments on the episode. I was looking forward to reading your thoughts, and I
definitely enjoyed seeing what you had to say. I appreciate you taking the time to comment.
Thanks a lot. Glad you liked the episode, and that you thought it was my best second episode so far. I happen to agree, and I also liked Fiji's Ep 2, but I think you're exactly right. Ravu barely got any development for the first 3 eps, yet Fang is still getting some, so I agree with you that that's an improvement. You will definitely see more of some of those emerging characters, like Ken and G.C., pretty soon. Agreed about Susie being pretty obvious, though as I've said a few times, I definitely tried to build more doubt than there would really be. The creation of both alliances. The Powerhouse looks ready to fall apart (especially with Corrine as a fifth) and the Upper Hand will have to deal with Sugar .Thanks. Glad that you liked both of these alliances forming! :) Another 9.Thank you. That's great to see. I appreciate it! Why didn't G.C. warn Crystal again about the vote against Susie?Crystal knew that Susie was going to be targeted (no one else would have been a logical option), which is why she tried to threaten people with fear of the idol to get them to vote for Matty instead. So GC may have warned her, but she knew about Susie some way. The thing she DIDN'T know about was that she would get 3 votes, and she thought GC may have been in on that which is why she might be a little pissed off. Thanks for your predictions for Episode 3 and for filling out the Popularity Poll! Sorry for all the 4's and 5's, not a huge amount of blatant entertainment this episode. No problem. Feel free to rate them however you see fit. Thanks again for your comments, and for being a loyal reader for so many seasons now. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! Hi ImANewUser! Thanks a lot for your comments on the episode. I'm glad to see you enjoyed it (except for Susie being voted out), and I
enjoyed reading what you had to say!
-->Thanks for sending. Anyways, thought that the episode was written well, but I HATED the ending. Also, glad to see some of the UTRs getting more attention. PS: Just noticed that aside from one or two, each tribe is like real Kota vs. real Fang (Charlie/Corinne/Ace/Dan/Paloma vs. Gillian/Ken/Randy/Michelle - though they're not in an alliance - and Marcus/Jacquie/Bob/Sugar vs. Matty vs. GC/Crystal) You're welcome for sending. Glad you thought the episode was well-written, but sorry to hear you were disappointed in (or HATED) the outcome. I figured you would be sad to see Susie go though. Yes, the low visibility characters will all be getting more attention/story in the episodes to come. Interesting catch about the real Kota vs. real Fang - I never really noticed that until you brought it up! -->The IC. Gillian feeling proud of herself was fun. Glad you liked this. This episode definitely was the beginning of her major story of trying to fit in with her tribe / prove to them that she is capable, and you will see that continuing in Episode 3. -->9 Thank you for the 9. I appreciate that! :) Thanks for your Episode 3 predictions, and for filling out the Popularity Poll! Charlie and Dan definitely seem to be the most popular winner picks, by far! -->I'll start to hate the outcome of the season. I mean, Susie & Kelly are gone. Gillian & Crystal seem to be targets. Corinne/Ace are in control of Fang & Marcus/Jacquie/Bob are in control of Kota. I hope that this is not another season like China where all of your favorites get voted out early. Hang onto hope for them, because you never know what might happen. :) I have now worked out my method of rating booted castaways. That's fine. I'm glad you rated Kelly because I always put in blanks when people don't rate the booted castaways. Otherwise, it negatively skews their averages. Thanks again for your comments. I appreciate you taking the time to comment every week, and I'm grateful to have you as a loyal reader. Hope you enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! :) |

Hello ITG! Great to hear from another new commenter this season. Thanks for reading my fanfics, and for commenting on Episode 2. I appreciate
you stopping by and taking the time to share your thoughts.
First post in this thread, and I have to say, guat, you fan fics are the best! :D Thanks. Glad to have you reading, and I'm happy that you enjoy them. It was ok, the Susie boot wasn't anything special, but the suspense at the end improved it. I'm hoping that you liked the premiere a little better. I agree that there was nothing all that exciting about the Susie boot (it was probably a little obvious, as a few people have already pointed out), but I'm glad that you thought there was a bit of suspense at the end. Thanks. Thanks for rating the episode a 9! None, but I do have speculation. I'll go out on a limb and say that Gillian cutting her tribe loose at the challenge is something important. I'm guessing she makes the merge and flips to Kota because she was an outsider in Fang. Am I right? lol, it's far-fetched but, who knows? True that it's a bit far-fetched, since it was just a small part of a challenge, but I like the idea behind it and you never know if it could happen. I do sometimes use this kind of "symbolism" but it might not be something that happens during a challenge. Still, it's obviously an insightful thought from you and I'm sure you'll be able to come up with more interesting theories based on other episodes too. You will have to see how this one turns out. Finally, thank you for your predictions for Episode 3 and for filling out the Popularity Poll. Great to see a variety of high and low numbers. :) Thanks again for your comments, ITG. I appreciate it! I hope you continue to enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great day! :) |

Hello survivormarc14, and thank you very much for your comments on the episode. I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, and I
always enjoy reading them!
This episode was really good, but it wasn't as good as the first episode(but the premire is always great) I really liked how things are starting to mold like, how people are starting to make aliances and build bonds. I'm glad you liked the episode, but I definitely agree that he premiere was better (though just a bit better, I think). So far the averages for the episodes reflect this, with Episode 2 being 8.5 something (almost what you rated it). I'm glad that you're liking how some of the alliances and relationships are unfolding. I don't think Dan is that boring, but you'll be pleased to know that you'll get to see more of some different Fang members in Episode 3, so I hope you like it. And Jacquie will be shown more soon as well. Susie's constant fear of the wilderness was really funny and Susie getting voted off was also one of my favorite parts. Interesting. You are one of the few people who wanted Susie to go. Thanks for the 8.5. I appreciate it! Thank you for your predictions for Episode 3, and for filling out the Popularity Poll. Dan - 7 (likable but boring) Okay, I guess I agree with that a bit. At least he still comes off as likable though. -I'm just gonna take a try, don't really use this but tell me if it's good or not.
After every episode, I post a visibility chart where it counts the number of sentences, confessionals, and Tribal Council questions for each person and then
comes up with a 1-5 number. These are not always 100% accurate for every person but they tend to act as a good guide. Looking at these, Ace would be a 2 or a
3, Gillian would be a 3, and Crystal would be a 4. Crystal definitely had a bigger presence in the episode than Ace or Gillian, so this chart should be helpful
to you in coming up with visibility numbers.
Corinne - INV2 The only visibility that is ever used with INV is a 1. It means that the person was completely irrelevant in the episode and was basically never shown at
all. They had no presence in the episode at all: they didn't talk, had no confessionals, nobody mentioned them, no Tribal Council questions, etc. I agree
with you on Corinne being INV but the rating would be INV1, just so you know for the future.
Thanks again for your comments. I appreciate them. I'm glad to have you reading again this season. Hope you enjoy the rest of the story, and have a great night! :) |

Hey guatemala fanfic, I've decided to change a few of my ratings after reading your thoughts as well as the thoughts of others
For one, I can see why I gave a positive tone to both Jacquie and Paloma, but looking back, I don't think it was strong enough to warrant a tone. They were very slightly P in my opinion, but I think instead of the P for this episode, it is probably just laying the groundwork for a more positive episode in the future. In regards to Gillian, I think that you were right in that she was very OTT. I'm glad you explained what your intent was. Still, I think overall she was much more positive than negative, so although I understand a Mixed rating, I'm giving her an OTTP The only other change I made was to make Randy a visibility 2 instead of 1. I saw a lot more 2s than 1s, and although I didn't remember him very well, looking back he is more of a 2 than a 1 (although I can see either. This one isn't a big deal at all) The only other comments I have are: -In regards to Dan- I understand why he could be considered MORP, but after seeing a recent discussion in Edgic, I feel that he warrants a CPP. Someone in that forum posted how a complex character often recieves insight etc, but they are also able to possess a degree of OTT, 1 deminsionality (haha not sure if thats a word). Because they possess a variety of layers, this OTT layer might make them more complex. Therefore, although he had a straightforward positve note, the SPV as well as the few confessionals he had make me feel he might be complex enough for a CPP (however weak of a CP it is) -Finally, one other change I actually considered was making GC UTR3. Although it doesn't seem to fit due to the visibility, GC was actually quite ignored...or hidden. The scene of him talking strategy was removed. We never got his opinion on the voting issue, and we heard a lot of people talking about him, but in terms of what GC actually thought or did, he was absent. In my mind, I kept forgetting about him because we never really saw him except for a few camp scenes etc which correlate to his visibility. (Just a thought, I think I'll stick with MOR3 ,just because I'm not the most experienced Edgician (haha not sure if that is word either) Anyways, cannot wait for Episode 3. Keep up the awesome work! |

Thanks for those updates, FallenTorch. Good to hear your thoughts on some of the ratings. One thing though:
I've decided to change a few of my ratings after reading your thoughts as well as the thoughts of others I like that you are reading other people's opinions and ratings as well, but I wouldn't change yours based on what I say because a lot of times I'm saying "my intended rating was..." but then I realize it didn't come across that way. Sometimes it does, but often times it doesn't. I'm just making a general comment though: I'm sure that your changes were based more on what other people said than what I said, and I like that you kept Gillian and Dan, etc. the same. That's why I like to ask people to submit their own. And yours are definitely extremely well done! :) -Finally, one other change I actually considered was making GC UTR3. Although it doesn't seem to fit due to the visibility, GC was actually quite ignored...or hidden. The scene of him talking strategy was removed. We never got his opinion on the voting issue, and we heard a lot of people talking about him, but in terms of what GC actually thought or did, he was absent. (Just a thought, I think I'll stick with MOR3 ,just because I'm not the most experienced Edgician (haha not sure if that is word either) I wondered about this myself, so I'm glad you brought it up. UTR3 is, for some reason, not a rating that I like to give out. I don't think if I've ever had it on one of my charts - it just tends to be a rating that I avoid. But I thought it might apply in this situation, although almost everyone has rated G.C. MOR3. But your point about him is very valid. I got rid of the scene where Marcus was talking to G.C. about the vote, but it will be briefly addresses in Episode 3 so that the whole thing doesn't go completely ignored. Thanks again for those updates. Keep up the great work, and thanks for reading! :) Anyways, cannot wait for Episode 3. Keep up the awesome work!Thank you! |

COMMENTS & QUESTIONS
(A) What did you think of this episode? Please be as detailed as you can, wherever possible. I'm gonna do a more MDN style write-up this weak because I've found that I forget a lot of things if I read the whole story and then comment. First up, Matty's comment about how he doesn't want Crystal to be his enemy definitely strikes me as foreshadowing that the two of them could have a Tracy/Mikey B relationship where the two of them have to work together for their mutual benefit. Next, Crystal's comment about fire being useful while Kelly wasn't is hilarious and although it sounds more like something Randy would say, I could understand it coming from Crystal, as she's essentially the Randy of her tribe. Susie is so much better of a character in your story than she was in the actual show. Seriously, I think you wrote her exactly like she would've acted, and yet you've done more with her character in two episodes than they did with her in the entire show. And even then, Susie won 3/7 votes at the FTC. Next, Dan is such a sweetheart. It's always nice to see sweetheart guys because sweetheart girls are so common and most guys get this macho edit. Sadly, it really does seem like he's being set up to take a fall as the hero who comes up just short. I also love the fact that he and Charlie formed their little a-law-iance just one season after Eliza, who got Charlie onto the show, did the same. Charlie and Dan seem like they'd be really likely to get along on the show, and I think you've really captured Charlie's character well this episode as someone who basically molds his personality to what he thinks his friends would want. In your fic, Dan is a nice guy, so Charlie's a nice guy. In the real show, Corinne, Marcus, etc. were pricks, so Charlie kinda followed the crowd on that. Also, I love Ace because he's such a good villain in that you know he's there but he's able to kinda hide under the radar and menace the other players from the shadows, which is the best kind of villain. As for the Powerhouse alliance, I love how they gave it an actual name. It's kinda like how Dan & Memphis sat around trying to think up names for their alliance in BB10 before deciding on the Renegades. It's just a badass name. Bringing Ace in is a smart move because it IS better to have him with them than against them. But Paloma is kind of an odd decision, especially after they just previously stated that Gillian and Ken were too weak to keep around long-term. Paloma's not exactly strong either. XD @ Randy referrring to Kelly as "the chick with the big tits". Chauvanist Randy is hilarious. His confessional after the challenge is pretty interesting too and seems like he's being set up for a fall, perhaps taking the comfort himself at some point. The challenge itself was kinda boring though, even though I know it's a challenge from Guatemala (where Rafe couldn't climb a ladder). The competition between Ace and Dan is cute and I really hope that the two of them last a long time so that rivalry is a full-season sort of thing. Ace trying to catch more fish than Dan was cute and Dan is the one being told he can do no wrong. Dan seems to be getting set up as this season's Marcus, the guy that takes control only to be felled at some point before the end. Gillian was a sympathetic character in this episode because she really wanted to prove herself and earn her stay on the island, rather than someone who would just be shown as latching on and being dragged. Dan was nice to her though and I still can't understand why that alliance picked Paloma over her. She did put a target on herself and Ken made a point of notice that, which is in his best interests because if Gillian's seen as weak, that's an extra three days he gets to stay in the game. Ken's definitely an under-the-radar threat and that's why I still think he's one of the best Edgic choices to win. I felt sorry for Susie in Exile because she basically got such bad luck in not being able to make fire or be comfortable or anything like that. Her fear of animals is funny though, as it's a running plotline for the first two episodes. Back on Kota, there's a definite divide between Marcus and the other three members of his alliance I think, even though he thinks he close with them. I think Bob is the real leader, as much as Marcus wants it to be him. Bob gets a ton of praise from his two girls, Jacquie and Sugar, and I like the whole idea of Sugar loving Bob because he's a father figure for her out there. i really thought it would come more into play during the real show, especially after Sugar talked about how she thought "the guy with the bowtie seems nice" in one of her interviews. Ace is a very good player it seems. He's wary of the alliance with Dan & Charlie, but he's more than willing to take it because it means that he'll be safe at least for a little while. Personally, I see Ace, Corinne, Michelle, Randy and Ken forming somewhat of a negative counteralliance against Dan/Charlie/Paloma, and there won't be a whole lot they can do about it. As for the immunity challenge, again, I didn't really care for it too much, mainly because it was kind of a rehashing and it just didn't excite me. I thought it sucked how Gillian was once again singled out as being unable to be seated out. I hope she manages to win some stuff singlehandedly and prove herself like Susie did. But she got her happy moment of giving her tribe the win, even if it was by doing the most meaningless task ever. It was pretty obvious that Susie was going to be booted. I mean, after Kelly was voted out because of the blatant obviousness of her alliance with Matty, there was no way the obvious alliance of Crystal, Susie and G.C. would survive, and there would be absolutely no benefit to a tribe that's already losing to vote out either G.C. or Crystal. Susie had no real clue to the hidden immunity idol other than it was at camp. That's it. There was no way she was surviving. Also, "The Upper Hand"? That is the dumbest alliance name ever. Why can't Marcus think up alliance names that AREN'T stupid as hell? Seriously, it's almost as bad as the Onion. Matty's not a very smart player. I mean, Marcus tells him it's not Matty and Matty just feels relieved right away. Honestly though, Crystal rallying to take Matty out, when the tribe had lost three straight challenges, just made her seem desperate, and it was poor gameplay on her part. She should've realized that Susie was a sinking ship and there wasn't a whole lot she could do to save her without putting a bigger target on her own back. Also, threatening people with an immunity idol that you don't possess is extremely stupid gameplay on her part. Susie trying to play a random bone as the immunity idol would've been funny, and Crystal pulling an Eliza "It's just a bone!" is even funnier. It's weird because Crystal was barely featured in the episode up until that pre-tribal scrambling, yet she just felt like a bigger presence. Tribal council time. Bob's a science whiz which is cute and Matty once again acts like a complete twat with his comments about Susie. Sugar gave away the entire alliance (and if the past two episodes have been any theme, it says that keeping your alliances secret is important, as the two players booted were booted for being in obvious alliances.) Crystal trying to rally the troops was interesting, but it's gonna be even more interesting when they get back to camp after she was nearly voted out. Crystal, Marcus and Matty seem like they could all eventually get caught in a power struggle for dominance of the tribe though. And Sugar is really getting built up as a sweetheart once again. (B) What was your overall favorite part of the episode? Honestly, I really liked Gillian in this episode and how she was built up so much as this underdog. It was tragic in a way. (C) What would you rate this episode out of 10? (1 being the lowest; 10 being the highest) 7 (It was a pretty boring episode, honestly...) (D) Do you have any questions about this episode that you'd like to see cleared up in a future episode or at the Reunion Show? Susie, have you like, never gone to the zoo before or something? 1. SOLE SURVIVOR POLL (A) Which castaway will be the Sole Survivor? Kenny 2. WHAT'S NEXT POLL (A) Which castaway will be voted off in Episode 3? Marcus (B) Which castaway will be sent to Exile? Sugar (C) Do you have any other predictions for Episode 3? I predict that Kota will lose AGAIN and that Marcus, Jacquie and Bob will try to team up with Matty and vote out Sugar. But then the "no open alliances" rule comes into play and Matty joins G.C. and Crystal in voting for Marcus as the leader. So the vote goes 3 Marcus, 3 Sugar, 1 Crystal (from Sugar herself). In the revote, the vote goes 3 Marcus, 2 Sugar, and Marcus gets the boot. 3. POPULARITY POLL (A) Please rate each castaway's popularity from 1-10. 1 is the lowest score, while 10 is the highest. Please try to base your ratings only on the likability of the characters in my story, not how they appeared on the real show. Ace - 8 Bob - 9 Charlie - 8 Corinne - 3 Crystal - 10 Dan - 8 G.C. - 5 Gillian - 9 Jacquie - 4 Kelly - 10 Ken - 7 Marcus - 6 Matty - 0 Michelle - 3 Paloma - 3 Randy - 8 Sugar - 9 Susie - 8 4. EDGIC POLL * For readers familiar with the concept of Edgic. For more information Edgic, please visit this thread: S17 EDGIC (A) Edgic for my fanfics has been very successful over the past few seasons (including choosing Tracy as Micronesia's winner from early on), so I would love to get some reader involvement in determining Edgic ratings again. Please submit your own ratings in this thread. Ratings will be compiled and I'll post the final ratings in a chart before the next episode. Rating: INV, UTR, MOR, CP, OTT Tone: NN, N, Mixed (M) , Neutral (), P, PP Visibility: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Ace - CP3 Bob - MORP4 Charlie - CP3 Corinne - INV1 Crystal - MOR4 Dan - OTTP3 G.C. - MOR3 Gillian - CP3 Jacquie - UTR2 Ken - MOR2 Marcus - CP4 Matty - MOR4 Michelle - INV1 Paloma - UTR2 Randy - UTRN2 Sugar - OTTP4 Susie - OTTM5 Winners: Charlie (He's getting a great edit as a kingmaker behind Dan thus far.) Ken (He's still just getting enough to be memorable in the episodes, even though he's relatively unimportant.) Ace (He's looking really good thus far as being a smart gamer.) I'm not eliminating anyone except Paloma, Jacquie, Corinne and Michelle though, 'cause anything could happen. |

Thanks so much, Kitty Pryde1. That was another incredible post. I'm just about to start a 5:00 lecture now, so I can't respond to it
but I will do so as soon as I can. Thanks again - I enjoyed reading through everything. :)

A random thought about exile... What if I tribe member wants their tribe to go to tribal council, so they decide to take the comfort? Or they could be 7-4
before the merge, so they would be comfortable enough to throw it. It seems like a great way to even out the tribes because the more tribe members you have,
the more likely and tempting it will be to take the comfort -- especially since you have the numbers. If Kota wins the next reward challenge, it might be
their way to come back: Send someone weak to exile that would take comfort [maybe Michelle (or Corinne) -- Gillian has too much game in her] especially if they
are just strong enough to make the majority alliance. This would also be a way to save Gillian from the first vote on Fang. Also, this could spiral down the
Fang tribe. Wow, there's so much to think about! :)
By the way, I bet that Jacquie ends up on the wrong side of a switch and gets voted out, just like she did on the show. She's strong enough to make the majority on the first tribe, but on the second tribe switch she could easily become the first target. I love trying to read your brain, and you always surprise me! We'll see... |

That's fine. I'm glad you rated Kelly because I always put in blanks when people don't rate the booted castaways. Otherwise, it negatively skews their averages. Oh crap, I skipped Kelly because she was booted and I just forgot to rate her. I'll give her a 5 because she was a strong character when she was there, but is gone. |

Sorry to say that I really don't have the energy or the attention span to fill out this week's survey. I'll return to doing the surveys next week.

I don't have time to fill out the formal survey but I would like to post a few comments.
Although some have criticized your challenges, I like them better than some of the ones you have written in the past. (I do need to read more of your
seasons - I'm basically basing this comparison off of China, which is the only one I can remember reading in full.)

I liked this better than episode 1 b/c we got to see more dynamics at Fang. I'm definitely digging Charlie and Ace so far and it'll be interesting to
see who emerges victorious from their cold war a la Jean Robert and Todd in real Survivor China. I can't wait to see what'll happen if/when Fang goes
to tribal.
I liked seeing Susie go, because it was so obvious that she would leave early that it was almost obvious she wouldn't (if that makes any sense.) I don't get how a 3/3 tie could have happened and resulted in 6 votes Susie, 2 votes Matty though. Wouldn't Susie and Crystal have no votes, with those two being the only options?
