Detour: Lure It or Gather It Phil: A detour is a choice between two tasks, each with its pros and cons. Teams will have to choose between two tasks vital to Palau's economy: fishing and coconuts. Lure It: In Lure It, teams must travel with a local fisherman out to the ocean and help catch 20 fish. This task does not require any physical strength, but teams may find it difficult to catch 20 fish. Gather It: In Gather It teams must run further up the beach to a marked area filled with coconut trees. Then, team members will take turns scaling up trees to gather a total of 10 coconuts. This task is physically demanding, but teams with a LOT of upper body strength will finish quickly.
PICK ONE! To do Lure It: Post *hop on boat and drive out to sea* To do Gather It: Post *run up the beach to marked area* Fast Forward: A fast forward will be available on 8 of
11 pre-determined legs. Teams MAY ONLY use the fast forward once even if they intersect with another team. In this fast forward, teams must drive themselves
several miles to the local jail. It is there where teams will find their next clue.
