As much as I love Tina Fey & 30 Rock, in what universe is Tina Fey considered a better actress than Felcity Huffman
or Marcia Cross? Marcia might not have performed her greatest work this past season on DH, but Felicity Huffman was
down right hysterical in this season's The Game (episode 3...the one with the brownies). Robbed, robbed, robbed.

I just don't get it! Felicity delivers top notch dramatic performances (season 3, Bang)...gets nothing. Felicity delivers top notch comedic performances (season 4,
The Game)...gets nothing.
Am I missing something??? As for Marcia Cross....her best work to date has been in the show's first 2 seasons. If she didn't receive an award for those seasons the outlook for future seasons is dim. Thanks for the agreeance, though!! |

SAG nominations.
This is pretty bad news for Atonement (even though Ronan and McAvoy are the only ones with a shot). Sweeney Todd, Charlie Wilson's War, and I think Amy Adams shouldn't really have to worry about their snubs. Apparently, the SAG voters didn't get to see any of the movies. (I am worried for Adams though, I'm afraid that thundercunt Cate Blanchett will undeservedly sneak in.) Into The Wild sure gained some steam. |

Okay seriously? What's with all the Sweeney Todd noms? Johnny Depp is overrated, typecast, and a crappy actor. Helena Bonham Carter is a cracked-out

Becki Newton was thecomedic actress of the season. The fact that she's not nominated is ridiculous. She's
out performed America Ferrara and Vanessa Williams in both the drama aspect and the comedic aspect of her role.

One thing that always gets on my nerves is when people assume the winner of Best Ensemble at the SAGs = Best Picture winner.
The big frontrunners were all shut out except for NCFOM. Instead we get crap like 3:10 to Yuma and Hairspray. They are not the odds-on-favorite. Only 5 of the past 12 SAG ensemble winners won BP. "Crash" won over Brokeback because it focused on many characters, while Brokeback really focused on the two cowboys. Little Miss Sunshine won the SAG, lost to The Departed at the Oscars. While I do think the SAGs are actually significant, unlike plenty of critic awards, I hate them as a whole. Into the Wild probably got that huge boost because Sean Penn made it. I think Juno was snubbed because the cast is made up of almost entirely TV actors. SAG members claim to respect TV just as much as they do Film, but they really look down on it. And Blanchett can go fuck off and die. She better not steal anyone's well earned spot for her over-the-top performance in that shitfest. One thing I hate about the Academy- if that bitch starred in 'Norbit' she'd still get favorable buzz. |
