Yeah I don't think free teeth whitening, a party at a doll store in NY, free skiing and trips back and forth across the country can be used towards a
college education. Seriously, why all the Kate love? You all must be greedy sumbitches too.

Best line of the show was from Mady.....when Kate was telling her to sit with one of the little kiddies: "I don't wanna sit with her. I'll tell ya
where I wanna sit: I wanna sit. In the car. For 2 hours. And drive home." Made me laugh. And laugh. And laugh some more. I cannot wait til that child is a
teenager. Karma for Kate. Awesome!!

too bad some company can't donate a personality transplant for Kate or a backbone for Jon.

Seriously, having that many toddlers would put me in an asylum within a week. Just taking care of my niece and nephew who were 16 mos. apart left me needing a stiff drink or xanax or two. |

Lori595 wrote: You missed the recent episode where they talked about getting a new house. Kate's voiceover is talking about how they're saving and hoping and praying something will work out so they can get a bigger house. Then they go and look at mountaintop acreage where they could build their new home or an existing home on 5 acres with a pond. They just can't decide. |

Because the shortened version of Jonathan is always Jon.

Oh yes they do, in a roundabout sort of way. Apparently even bagels are a "rare treat."
Kate mentions at least one thing in every episode they want or wish they had. Hint, hint donaters - send us / give us this! They just signed a contract a couple months ago for 50 new episodes at $65K a pop. Plus they are now charing $25K for their public speaking engagements, which they seem to do an average of 2-4 per month. they get free clothing, groceries, supplies, toys, gifts all the time. Supposedly dozens of packages are delivered to their home everyday, we saw Jon recycling all the cordboard boxes. WHY are they hinting/begging for handouts??? It's ridiculous. It's completely gone to their heads. |

Seriously someone thinks people are JEALOUS of Kate? LOL! I am anything but! Yes they are getting all kinds of freebies now - but in a few years this will all
die down and they will be stuck with a ton of kids they are responsible for. Anyway - the way I feel about it is this, I had two children and stopped at two
children because it is all I can afford. I didn't continue to have them just because I wanted to (and I did) because I knew that I need to provide for the
ones I have already. And not rely on hand outs to survive.

Re making $65K an episode and charging $25K for speaking engagements. Is there a source to confirm it or is that just another internet rumor?

She asked the girls, and they pointed to the boys, then when the boys were asked who did it, their very thoughtful response was "nobody". After Kate left, one of the little guys did a celebratory touchdown dance. It was a great moment. I can't believe how seriously some of you take this. Kate's a bit of a tyrant, but with that many kids, you almost have to be a bit of a General.

Someone needs to be the taskmaster in that house, and it certainly isnt going to be Jon. |

Personally, I thought Kate's reaction to Gumgate was much more disturbing than her reaction to Knobgate. The knob thing wasn't really a big deal, IMO.
(And yes, that celebratory dance was hysterical) In Gumgate, she was flat out taunting poor Colin and was completely cruel to him for no reason. And the
shitty thing is, I think she knew very well how to get gum out of that toy; she was just making a spectacle of herself because a) need some drama for ratings
and b) to drive the point home to Jodi. Too bad Kate didn't realize or care that she was hurting her own three year old whose only crime was chewing some
gum that was handed to him.

I thought knob-gate was hilarious and her reaction was appropriate. The gum-gate incident was ridiculous.

Does anyone know the name of the knob-gate episode. I was searching for it on youtube and can't find it.

I have two kids that are almost raised. The intensity of Kate's rage over the drawer knob was scary to me. They are 4 year olds. Shit happens. Kate was on
a Spanish Inquisition. How difficult is it to screw the knob back on the drawer?

factoryhurl wrote: That right there is kates problem. She creates her own stress. She over-reacts and starts to freak out over nothing. A more recent example of her creating her own stress was the seasame street episode when she was handing out drinks. She started to get stressed out and was yelling for jon to come help her. Passing out drinks is not that hard and does not require both parents. All she had to do was take a drink out hand it to a kid, then take another drink out and hand it to a kid, just repeat this 8 times (which should take not even a full minute to complete) and the problem is solved. No stress! |

Just want to comment on the freebie thing. I think much of the flack kate and jon are recieivng is undeserved because its not like they are the ones going out and asking for this stuff, the producers are. Can you imagine how boring the episodes would be if they didnt get these trips etc? Most of the episodes would then revolve around there daily interactions at the house because they dont have the money to be constantly taking the whole famly out to different places! It would get really boring after awhile!
