There's a difference between the Jon+Kate's kids and the average child in a family home. They have made their family into celebrities, therefore they
must deal with the consequences of the paparazzi. Maybe she shouldn't have brought her kids into the limelight and bring upon people like that to try to
capture moments of her life to poke fun at her. Obviously it would be different if like a pedophile came by to snap photos, but if the paparazzi or fans are
there taking photos, fucking deal with it. You brought the limelight to your house, you cannot send it away.

Regarding the sign: it's possible that Jon has stopped making eye contact with neighbors because if he does, they take that as an invitation to stop and
talk. Very probably, the blog was posted by a disappointed neighbor who wanted to get in friendly with them and be seen on TV.
That being said, I can't imagine the need for three signs in the yard when one should suffice. Besides, that many signs in a yard would draw attention, make people slow down to read, and if they don't know who lives there, they'd be more likely to stop and search the house for why anyone would post a sign like that. I'd be a bit ticked off, too, if I had a neighbor who stuck a bunch of signs in their yard. Just imagine how many cars are parked on the street during filming. |

yet they go and give speeches about their kids and their life to groups of people....................oh wait they get paid for that! I wonder if they put signs on the stage at their speeches telling people not to look at them?In one of the episodes, Kate said they like the people at their church because they (church folks) leave them (J&K) alone. There's a weird little compliment. So, they'll gladly take those people's donations, but god help them if they have the gall to, you know, talk to J&K. |

Q: Why is Kate Gosselin estranged from her parents?
Kate's parents are Charlene and Kenton Kreider. Charlene (age 50) and Kenton (59) had six kids - Kate is the second oldest (born when Charlene was only 17). Kenton is an assistant pastor at Calvary Bible Church in Sinking Spring, PA. He and Charlene own a trailer park/campground in Lancaster (primary business) and people say they are each missing a number of teeth and have no education at all. There has been some court issues with their trailer park/campground land - apparently, they were doing things to the property in violation of zoning laws. So, when Kate says on the show that, "their grandparents are not involved in the kids' lives, it would seem that she and Jon are embarrassed by them. Actually ISAMER (Original Wikianswerer) only 10% of the above is true... Actually, Kates father has his Masters Degree in Education. Hes a Teacher, a Minister, owns a large Campground, was in local govt and they just built a large beautiful house. And they have all their teeth. They love all their grandchildren but Kate has hurt them deeply when the tups were born. Kates Dads church where he is a Minister got tons of donations and volunteers for the tups and Kate was rude, nasty and demanded ONLY NEW MATCHING items. Then she demanded CASH. Then she disowned him when he refused to give in. She rejected unmatched cribs and clothing. These are the same grandparents that watched the twins the entire time Kate was in the hospital with the tups... See where this is going? It caused a rift and Kate disowned them in a huff and cut the tups out of their lives. link |

Well I fundamentally disagree with the fact that being in the public eye also means that you have to sign the rest of your privacy rights away. This is
obviously a bit different if you go out of your way to court publicity, but in terms of just doing the job you signed up for, no I don't think anyone
should have access to your personal life just by virtue of being on tv. I think the vast majority of people do realize this and tend to leave
"celebrities" alone. But I totally believe that they must get loads of drive-bys, and other intrusions when they go out.
As for that neighbour, she sounds like a completely bitter cunt. I don't doubt that Kate might be rude to the neighbours, but she has pretty much zero credibility in that post. |

I don't agree that people should be invading their privacy, I just think Kate is hypocritical to love all the free stuff and donations and whatnot that
they get but then not want anyone to speak to them or anything like that.

do no wrong attitude all day long? Whether or not any of this is true, the reason people believe it is because her actions on the show support how awful she
can be. I wonder why she does not see the episodes and realize she can improve. You can be snarky, like Jon or like the Dan and Roseanne on Roseanne but you
have to also show love and respect too. No one wants perfect behavior but no one wants raving bitch either.

Regardless, I think a big part of why people try to judge/have a problem with Kate is that, after all, everyone has a different idea of parenting - and that instinct seems to really come out with this show. I don't think it's right to exploit your kids on tv but if I *were* in their shoes I probably would want to keep random people away from my property, too. |

I didn't say I thought everything she has said/done is right - I just pointed out that I think people get so worked up over because everyone has their own parenting instinct that they use to consider hers. And, I mean, if you're going to pick at Kate, John should be included because he *is* letting this stuff happen just as much as Kate is - I'm sure they both had to agree to expose their kids on national tv. Lord knows I wouldn't put my kids on tv and expose them to criticism, but, like with any reality tv show, you never get the full story so I don't think we'll ever have a truly accurate picture of their lives from the show and what others have said in blogs - some of which *do* seem to have really bitter undertones to me, which could damage their credibility a great deal. PS - Go ahead, call me Kate again

I can't believe people actually want children and do measures to fertilize themselves to have it and having 8 in total.
The first time I watched this show, just seeing all those kids in one room and putting myself in the parents shoes having to deal with them made me take multiple explosive shits. For the life of me, I can't imagine having all those kids and being sane. Reading here, this woman is an apparent cunt. The few eppies I saw, she seems kinda cunty. I feel sorry for the husband, he looks like a nice guy that got himself into having kids with her when it was too late to back out. Good on them for using the public. He'll I'd chill and watch people take care of my kids (not that I'm having any). If people wanna be dumb enough to go to their house and volunteer to clean their shit when they are making shitloads of cash on these tots, then go ahead. |
