It was also really sad to see the clips of when the kids were little - when Kate looked like the real mom of 8 kids and Jon really played with them. And to see how it's all turned out... I do think Kate had planned to have a big family and get attention/freebies - I still think it was some attempt to compensate for her own dissatisfaction with her own upbringing...It does seem she was doing work for the furthering of the family's wealth, albeit at the expense of family privacy. She truly seems confused by Jon's recent reluctance to go along with what he's gone along with all along. I've never liked Kate and the way she treats the kids, but Jon's selfishness and emotional regression is worse. That whole "it's not good for the kids to have parents that aren't happy" crap is a cop-out - Jon just wants to play and she just wanted him to keep fullfilling his role as the husband she could control...Jon changed the status quo. Wait til this all dies down, and their show gets canceled, and the money disappears... Jon's gonna be one lonely, poor, bitter dude...and Kate, I'm hoping will realize that all the weath and attention she needs are in those eight little faces.. Besides her new, perky brestesses, did anyone notice her hair was less hostile looking last night?....

They just weren't. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to be ready for that many kids at once. It's hard enough to be ready for one.

She's been painted as a saint from day one with this show, Jon painted as the devil that has ruined her life. He can never do anything right, she can never do anything wrong. Like someone else said about the Crooked Houses, she planned to make a big fucking scene to move the houses where SHE wanted them after she let Jon prepare a huge area for them to be placed. She's made a career out of emasculating him and it's sad that the house is for the kids, yet Jon is getting kicked out so Kate can control them some more. When they start doing episodes of them as single, you'll watch Kate brainwashing the kids and they'll just LOVE to be with her and any time spent with Jon will be bitter, angry, and full of the kids saying they hate Jon and miss Kate. She's a huge fucking bitch and I'm STILL pissed that she can say that she will be there for the kids on every holiday, but slap every father in the face by disappearing on Father's Day. Cunts like her are the reason we should start stoning bitches again.

I think it might be a good thing if fertility clinics were required to guarantee a range on the number of babies a mother delivers. This martyr act she's playing now is just disgusting to watch, but I'm sure there are lots of people out there buying it, just like they've bought the Great Mom and the Good Christian acts that preceded it. Did anyone else notice the kids playing "be quiet, we're doing the interviews!" game outside the playhouses?

He can smoke a joint, wear age inappropriate clothes, and sleep with young women and I will still like him better than her. I have to agree with this 100%. When I first started watching the show I tended to cut her some slack because she was clearly stressed out and had a large family to control. But the embarrassing moments show was what pushed me over the edge, when even sitting in a detached interview situation six months later, she never for one moment expressed regret or gave even a hint of an apology for any of the multiple times she embarrassed Jon in public. On the contrary, all she could talk about why it was HIS fault that she HAD to yell at him. That's what's always bugged me the most about her - not necessarily the bitching in the heat of the moment, which we all do on occasion (although that started getting old as well), but her refusal to ever admit when she'd gone too far. And I totally agree that she probably never had any desire to talk out their problems with Jon. (Again, it's HIS fault that they're not communicating now.) She just wanted him to listen and obey the way he's always done, and he finally said screw it. I'm not defending Jon's recent actions, and I think he should've grown a pair long ago, but Kate needs to get off her high horse and realize that a marriage is made up of two people, and that she's at fault just as much as he is.

People close to the show say the desire to take a production break came from the network. GAWD, she has no shame really. You need to shelter your kids from a divorce, not air it all for people to see. I wasn't a regular watcher of the show, just here and there. I hope it doesn't return from the hiatus. I was hoping at the end of last night's show she would say 'due to the family issues' we are taking a break, not 'The Show Will Go On'.
