They go to a fairly fundie type church or at least the AOG people I know believe in the man is the earner and the girl is handmaiden type (even if the handmaiden can be a shew she shouldn't have to support the family she is to cook, clean and have babies.) So her gender role thing doesn't surprise me at all.

They were such a cute couple when they got married, and it was definitely shocking to see how lovey dovey they were, really shows how much the stress of all those kids could change things. And the mystery of Kate's parents continues, she really didnt explain things at all with her explaination, and it seemed to me that Jon wasnt too thrilled that he mother got re-married.

I think they both looked pretty hot when they met. They had chemistry that oozed off the pictures. I thought they had a good explanation about wanting a videographer and that is how they ended up doing the show, but I am not sure they are getting the kind of footage that you want to see later on. Oh well. The nanny episode was interesting. I wonder if we will see more of that person in future episodes.

Did you notice in the wedding footage that Kate's parents were blurred? When she said, "It's not like we hate them" I just turned to my wife and said "She hates them". And it seems like the problem isn't her as she lives near and speaks with her brother.

It's also sad that Kate doesn't like them. When my fam was watching the show last night, my mom thinks the earlier staement is very cruel. I don't understand why she doesn't like them.
