During the couch interviews, both stated several times "I'm here for the kids". Never did either of them mention being there for the each other. Unless, of course, it ended up on the cutting room floor. But, what are the chances that the marital strife is scripted or staged...just to draw in more viewers?

"She used to give him only $5 to spend, and if he was out and needed more money, she would give him hell," his former employer at Style Craft Corp, David Rothermel, tells Us. Rothermel, who fired Jon for misusing company resources and remembers college dropout Jon looking online all day for freebies for the sextuplets, also recalls a very-pregnant-with-sextuplets Kate storming into the office one day. "She came in raising hell because Jon's father was supposed to bring her lunch and he was late," Rothermel recalls. "She got up out of bed rest to come in and yell at anyone who would listen!" (The Gosselins later publicly concocted a story that Jon was let go by Rothermel because the company didn't want to insure the sextuplets.) Also during that time, when a friend of Jon's father donated a 14-passenger van to the family, Kate "never thanked him," says a source close to Jon. Instead, "she traded it in because she hated the color burgundy." During Monday's season premiere, a beaten-down Jon revealed his lack of self-esteem. "I can't write. Some people say I can't talk or breathe right, either." (Kate famously told him once to "stop breathing so loud.") Also on the episode -- the show's highest-rated episode of all time -- Kate admitted she's "been hard" on Jon during the 10 years of their marriage. "I would never deny that. I've always regretted it," she says. Color me shocked that all this is happening after the touching and sincere vow renewal ceremony in front of Jon's family members that he had never met and a couple production assistants. WTF was with the birthday party at Shelter #4? Wouldn't the backyard of the new house work for a kid's party? So Kate goes shopping at Party Town, calls the Magician and the bouncy things rental and again has production assistants decorate, Jon brings the cake but all she talked about was doing it alone? Jon FTW.

Each time you get an answer wrong, Kate yells "No! No!" I'm sure that came from a soundbite of her talking to Jon.

You mean the ceremony that was promise to their kids that they'd be together forever? I hope TLC is putting money away for therapy. I see all kinds of issues down the road for those poor kids. And they really have no business complaining about the P People. They asked for every bit of this. Has she seriously needed a bodyguard all this time? I could see now, since everyone hates her, but before when they were popular in a good way.

The way Kate was like "One of the bouncy rooms is wet, but someone was going to take care of that"... blaming Jon but he was out getting the cake and fetching her sunglasses. None of the parents or her helpers seemed like they enjoyed themselves at all. It was very, very strange. I do not feel sorry for Kate, and she can cry on camera as much as possible without ruining her makeup, I have no sympathy for such a horrid woman. The only ones I feel sorry for are the kids.

The kids pay the ultimate price by having their nuclear family threatened or torn apart. So Jon put his family in this position. Now whether Kate's bitchy behavior drove him to it is immaterial. A man has to decide, if the marriage is over, end it FIRST with honor, and spare the collateral damage as you nuke your family. Tell the wife it is over, get your attorneys in place and begin the separation of the assets and custody arrangements. The fact that Jon did this when their family makes a LIVING at BEING a family is incredibly stupid. It threatens their financial future. Honestly, what employer would hire this guy as an IT type if they knew they got Kate and all the bullshit that went with it? That is too distracting in the work place. So how does Jon think he is going to support himself, let alone his family, if he goes solo? Have these 2 even CONSIDERED counseling? Dayum, they should both be in daily couples therapy until they get back on track. Kate's worst nightmare is right on the horizon - marriage is over, loses the show, income dries up and she now has 8 kids as a single mom working as nurse, trying to make ends meet. On top of that, she is so toxic by reputation, what eligible guy who doesn't have a dominatrix fetish would want to marry her and take on someone else's 8 kids? So she is facing a lifetime of singlehood. It is as plain as day to me. Wow. Absolute agreement with your post! This couple needs therapy NOW if they want to have any chance of repairing the damage. Why Jon thought he could get by with acting out his adolescent fantasy is beyond comprehension. Did he want to get caught? Did he expect the paps to turn the other way? He apologizes for his actions, but I never heard anything about fighting to keep the marriage alive. Jon really disappointed me. I've been railing against the way Kate treats her family for a couple of seasons now, but Jon really let me down with his actions. END THE SHAM!!
